Tulsi Gabbard is accusing companies such as Google of throwing parties and giving checks to senators and congressmen.

Why isn't this illegal? Or are these considered donations to political campaigns? She didn't say the money was given to the campaigns of these individuals. She just said, "Google throws a big party and they [the congressmen] go and pick up their checks."

I would extend that to the New York Times as well, just based on the reports from those who were fired or left.

True. Biden didn't get 100% of the vote

One those other little things that came out of election analysis.

Biden got more votes than any other "winning" Presidential Candidate.

Biden won fewer counties than any other "winning" Presidential Candidate.

Population growth in those counties does not account for the number of votes.

How do you know the US has reached banana-republic status?

Well, the vice-presidential designate got her start in politics through her ready supplying of oral sex, and the spokescharacter for the banana industry is Chick Eat A Banana.

Good (late) morning.

I've decided that for Halloween this year, I'll go out dressed up as "'Progressive' Hypocrisy"

I realize there could be many variations on that theme, but my costume will be simple: I'll wear one of those "BECAUSE DR. FAUCI SAID SO" face-diapers, combined with a good ol' "QUESTION AUTHORITY' T-shirt.

And I've just had to listen to yet another ritualistic denunciation of "last week's assault on democracy blah blah blah" during a mutli-party work-related video call.

These same people, when multiple American cities were burning this past spring, could only rouse themselves to denounce, you guessed it, "injustice"... that is, all those racist cops gunning down black people for no reason at all, etc.

So sick of this shit.

Have you caught these gasbags saying that "the police would have acted so differently if it had been people of color storming the building"?

Of course they would have. They'd have let them burn the place down, being afraid of being lynched for stopping them.

Someone has written an article trying to help QAnon folks realize that the actions on Wednesday are interpreted very seriously by the security portions of the federal government. He draws the following comparison between this summer riots and last Wednesday:

U.S. code defines “sedition” as using “force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States.” That’s what you did. And the legal process you tried to stop is one of the most important in American democracy.

Five people are dead, and it could’ve easily been more. You beat a police officer to death and injured others. You set up a gallows and chanted “hang Mike Pence.” While some goofy attention-seekers attracted the most focus at first, it’s increasingly clear that some who stormed the Capitol, likely members of far right militias, were searching for Vice President Pence, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and other national leaders, and would’ve killed them if they had the chance. That’s terrorism, fortunately thwarted by Capitol security and luck.

Compare that to, for example, riots this past summer. Looting is bad, but it’s a problem for police and insurance companies. Trying to burn down a police station or courthouse is worse, but that too is a law enforcement problem, perhaps one requiring federal assistance. Storming the Capitol, forcefully hindering the execution of U.S. law, and trying to kill top elected officials is a national security problem.

Michael Yon - who was there - is convinced that Antifa infiltrated the Jan. 6 protest, and led the assault on the Capitol building.

SCIENCE!

Bipartisan effort pushes state to fast-track teachers for vaccines

Why?

There is not a documented case of a teacher getting covid from a kid that I can find.

The at risk population is over 70 AND with co-morbidity. But those are mostly old white folks so they are farther down on the list.

Biden said his re-opening strategy is for non-whites first.

Every action taken regarding covid is more evidence it is not about public health, but societal upheaval.

Note that despite DeBlasio blaming COVID spread on Orthodox Jews, the Jewish neighborhoods are not on a high priority vaccine list, and one clinic distributing the vaccines there was threatened with loss of license and a very large fine (100K or 1M)
