Violent extremism will not stop Israeli Ambassador to the United Kingdom Tzipi Hotovely from telling Israel’s story, the embassy said on Wednesday, after she was evacuated from the London School of Economics as students and other pro-Palestinian activists tried to attack her following a speaking engagement.
Video posted online shows Hotovely leaving the event on Tuesday night, with security guards leading her past the protest, when a man rushed at her. The guards pushed her into her car.
One interesting paragraph about the "protesters":
Another video showed protesters chanting "no borders, no nations, no settler occupations." It did not explain how one can support Palestinian statehood while opposing borders and nations.

Oh, so the victim gave absolutely, positively no description whatsoever of the kidnappers:
There once was a man named Levine Who believed that he was feminine--- But though he wore a dress, And he grew out his tress, No-one's convinced when he is seen.

Passing thought: Isn't the administration's proposal to pay illegals if they've "lost/been separated from a child" a disguised form of subsidizing child trafficking?

Yep; both subsidizing, and incentivizing it for the future. More broadly: it is difficult to exaggerate how disastrously awful the idea is, in how many different ways. The "Progressives" are out to destroy this country.

I take it the DA wasn't able to ship this trial to a judge who shares his predispositions?

I've been watching on Newsmax all day. Ace of Spades said it was on PBS with no commentary, but when I checked the local Green Bay PBS station, they weren't showing it. None of the local stations were airing it. You'd think it taking place in Wisconsin, somebody would have been broadcasting it. Gees, this used to be such sane state, what ever happened to us? You don't have to answer that, I already know.

That's one brave young man. I never could have withstood the badgering he got from the prosecutor. The judge reaming him out was a joy to watch. I only saw one of these reprimands, but I guess there were two other times.

My son thinks people will start wearing masks throughout cold and flu season. It's common in Asia but I doubt it does any good. I don't care what people do as long as it's not mandatory, but as we know this is all about forcing people to submit.

From what I can glean from the data, last fall, the flu season was about normal, however it's hard to tell because CDC rolled the flu into covid as a Covid Like Illness.

Part of the problem is that we have grown to expect medical miracles as a matter of course. Today, if you have to have cataract surgery, you go into an outpatient facility, get zapped with a laser, and you're out in a few hours. A mere couple of decades ago, you had to go under the knife, which was held by someone you hoped didn't hiccup, and you had to sleep with your head in a box for a while afterwards while the incisions healed.
We expect---demand---miracles as a matter of course, so when a disease comes along and we don't have an Instant and Perfect Solution, lots of people get cranky. Talk about being spoiled.
Vice President Kamala Harris went viral following her visit to a COVID-19 lab in Paris for appearing to use what critics described as a "French accent."

A recap of why: Bacteria are living organisms with their own metabolism and features. Antibiotics can disrupt their metabolism or other features, such as building their cell walls.
Viruses are genetic material that takes over the host cell. Can't disrupt the host metabolism without causing other problems.

Which makes me want to restate my description of MRNA.
Imagine the cell is a factory that can produce various products. The master blueprints are the DNA. When some products are needed, copies of the blueprints are made and distributed to the robots that produce the products. Those copies are MRNA.
The copies cannot hang around too long, or the factory will continue producing products that are not needed and not be able to move to the new items that are in demand.
