Truckers in Canada started things off (or so it seemed) by fighting back against the Canadian government in ... 2021? Is that right? I can't keep track anymore. Then farmers in the Netherlands fought back against stupid "Build Back Better" nonsense trying to get rid of farms. This year, German farmers have been fighting the stupid WEF programs implemented by the government, and now France, already embroiled in revolt against globalists, is now seeing truckers and construction workers join the French farmers against the insanity. I'm seeing a lot of revolt against globalism going on that the media isn't talking about at all.

So the RNC gave Trump the option to just have the party declare him the nominee by fiat. This article's author writes as if Trump refused because that would not let him win all those primary elections and miss out on all the gloating: "Let's be real: this move likely has nothing to do with party unity and has a whole lot to do with Trump being the kind of guy who likes to win and win big." That might be part of it, but I also think that he realized if he let them declare him the winner, then he would be beholden to them for his position, and he doesn't want that. He posting on Truth Social notes (quoted in the article): “While I greatly appreciate the Republican National Committee (RNC) wanting to make me their PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE, and while they have far more votes than necessary to do it, I feel, for the sake of PARTY UNITY, that they should NOT go forward with this plan, but that I should do it the ‘Old Fashioned’ way, and finish the process off AT THE BALLOT BOX.” That seems much smarter to me than letting the Party dictate from on high, which is what the Democrat party has done repeatedly. Bernie Sanders came very close to becoming the candidate in 2016, but he was shut out at various stages so Hillary could take the nomination.
