Repost from last night:

That "Israeli" deal that Biden was touting? Turns out is is basically Hamas' demands and did not come from Israel at all

And so, conversations with the Qatari Prime Minister and others, I think it’s fair to say there’s a recognition from everybody that’s been working on this that what is now in front of everybody is basically the terms by which Hamas was prepared to move forward.

Biden is pretty blatant to do things like this, and note Israel won't help him save face in any way. I'm left with the assumption that given (a) Biden is a repeated liar, (b) politicians love to make promises, and (c) many politicians lie like breathing, (therefore) I'm wondering how many "deals" in the past have actually started this way--where the politician lied about where the deal came from but everyone tried to save face by not mentioning it.

There was notable news yesterday related to the COVID insanity of four years ago about all that so-called science. Anthony Fauci met with the House Select Committee on the pandemic back in January, and the transcripts were released last Friday. PJMedia writes it up this way:

According to bombshell testimony from Dr. Anthony Fauci, the architect of America’s COVID-19 response, he completely made up the six-foot social distancing rule and other policies under the guise of protecting Americans during the pandemic.

Fauci made the admission during a January interview, the transcript of which was released mere days before his planned public testimony scheduled for Monday.

House Republicans intend to subject Fauci to intense grilling regarding the efficacy of the COVID restrictions he imposed, which he now acknowledges did little to impede the virus's transmission.

This information isn't noteworthy, because we've known this. Fauci did the Hillary nonsense of "I don't recall" where these decisions came from. Regarding any questions involving negative impacts from his decisions, he claims there are studies that dispute the negative impacts.  While it is not a surprise that the media and politicians are trying to sweep all this under the rug, I will give House Republicans credit for forcing these things out into the open.

Then Open the Books released news this week that the pharmaceutical companies paid royalties to the NIH and its scientists in the area of $710 million from late 2021 through 2023. Note, these are payments made by private companies, such as Pfizer and Moderna, to license medical innovations from government scientists. (But I dispute that any government scientist "made" any innovations. I'm pretty sure Ralph Baric and the EcoHealth scientists are the ones who made any "innovations" against SARS-COV-2.) Yet again, we see people going into "public service" and making millions of dollars from it. Since September 2009, the figure skyrockets to over $1 billion.

Here's what we don't know: if any of these royalties included the $400 million that Modern agreed to pay the NIH.

Now if all these people are working for our government, why did Open the Books have to hire Judicial Watch to get these details? Gee, it seems the government doesn't want to let the folks who pay their salaries know what they're doing.

One other thing: claims have been made that Fauci totally made up the 6-foot rule on his own, but my remembrance is that some kid did a science fair project about how three feet would be enough, and Fauci double that to create the six-foot rule. No science behind it whatsoever; it just sounded good.

Just a reminder: Barack Obama, in 2008, tried to give his former pastor Jeremiah Write $150,000 to be quiet during the election. Now White didn't take the money, but this information came out in 2012, and I don't recall anyone wailing about the law then.

The bananas started falling earlier than we remember.

The US Government really shouldn't use any Microsoft products thanks to Microsoft abiding by all Chinese laws related to technology. Microsoft is trying to pull back some engineers, but honestly they shouldn't be playing by any of China's rules.

On Monday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, submitted funding requests to House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK). Among them is a section on "Stopping politicized prosecutions."

I hope it works, but I remain doubtful as long as a single Democrat continues to support this lawfare nonsense.

Netanyahu is going to address Congress again, probably on June 13. Apparently Biden will be the G-7 group in Italy on that date. But he totally supports Israel, dontchaknow.

I kept asking how in the hell this was being described as an “Israeli proposal”, when it plainly wasn’t.  The media incuriosity on that was stunning… wait, I mean; another day ending in “y”.

Meanwhile, in local, minor news:

An elderly woman is dead after a vehicle she was inside was stolen at Washington Hospital Center and later crashed into a building in downtown D.C. on Monday afternoon, police say.

A white SUV was stolen at Washington Hospital Center in the 100 block of Irving Street just before 1:15 p.m., according to Darnel Robinson, an assistant chief with D.C. police.

The driver stepped out of the SUV and at that point a woman went inside and drove away with the vehicle owner’s elderly mother still in the front passenger seat, police said.

The vehicle owner called police and officers placed a lookout on the SUV.”

Ho hum, local news story, nothing to see here.  Some orc hijacks a car in broad daylight in downtown DC, kidnapping an elderly woman inside it; then crashes it (right near the DC courthouse area), killing her.  No description of the perp, of course, because that might be rude.

Six Foot Space

—apologies to Tennessee Ernie Ford and “Sixteen Tons”

You keep six-foot space, what do you get?
A semi-assurance you’ve got no virus yet
St. Peter, don’t you call me, ‘cause I can’t go
I’ve got toilet paper on reserve at the store

I woke up one morning and the town was locked down
I walked out my front door and ambled around
I had to keep six feet away from everyone
So how’s a young fellow ‘sposed to have any fun?

You keep six-foot space, what do you get?
A semi-assurance you’ve got no virus yet
St. Peter, don’t you call me, ‘cause I can’t go
I’ve got toilet paper on reserve at the store

You meet folks on the street and you both do a dance
That’s what they call “observing social distance”
When you get home don’t dare to touch your hands to your eyes
Until you’re sure you’ve been thoroughly sanitized

You keep six-foot space, what do you get?
A semi-assurance you’ve got no virus yet
St. Peter, don’t you call me, ‘cause I can’t go
I’ve got toilet paper on reserve at the store

You can’t walk around unless you have a mask
You can’t work unless you have an essential task
You just have to hunker down and shelter in place
And try to recall what it’s like seeing a face

You keep six-foot space, what do you get?
A semi-assurance you’ve got no virus yet
St. Peter, don’t you call me, ‘cause I can’t go
I’ve got toilet paper on reserve at the store

You can’t go to a restaurant to eat some food
Can’t go to the park or to the beach if you're in the mood
Try to go to a church, they’ll hit you with a fine
So just stay at home and order online

You keep six-foot space, what do you get?
A semi-assurance you’ve got no virus yet
St. Peter, don’t you call me, ‘cause I can’t go
I’ve got toilet paper on reserve at the store

That reminds me; today I saw a large sticker on a passing car (on the door, not bumper), that declared, "Wear a mask!  Keep your distance!"

It was an advertisement for... a fencing school.

There is a reason I am swutching to Linux. But Office is the standard, and professionals generally have to use it.

So far, I prefer Ubuntu to Fedora. For example, an update in Ubuntu: It downloads, installs, and might ask for a reboot. Reboot takes the normal amout of time,

Fedora is like Windows - restart and it says it is updating for a long time.

Also, there appears to be no way to iconify windows in Fedora. At least not what I have been using. But its multiple desktops keeps the screen from getting too cluttered.
