Well, to the surprise of no one (not me, anyway), the "Chavista"-packed Venezuelan electoral commission (CNE) declared Maduro the winner in yesterday's election, despite the opposition candidate (Gonzalez) having consistently polled with a very strong lead. 

Good thing that kind of election shenanigans could never happen here!
