Follow the dots:

Juan Merchan, judge that presided over the crazy trial in New York on supposed bookkeeping and "orange man bad."

Merchan's daughter, Loren Merchan, works for and was president of a political firm, Authentic Campaigns, that raised money for Biden, Harris, Schiff, and Schumer. They fundraised off of the court case and made millions.

Her partner at the firm is the person who put together the White Dudes for Harris nonsense. And they raised $4 million for the Harris campaign this way.

The big mistake going way back is treating terrorism as criminal matter.

With the possible exception of Leryn Franco of Paraguay (for very different reasons), this guy is now my favorite Olympic athlete of all time.

I'm not. This is a matter I've been following for some time, in the context of my job.  Both the Obama and Biden administrations have been fairly tough with the Maduro regime; not as much as Trump, IMHO, but definitely not "he's our pal".    Chavez/Maduro have long been just a little bit too icky for our Western brand of quasi-socialist "elite".

That's good to hear. Do the people of Venezuela have enough momentum to force Maduro to step down? I'm assuming the answer is no, but I'd love to hear that I'm wrong.

I wish I knew the answer to that.  I don't think anyone does, really; even less, whether that could  happen without bloodshed.

Poland and Solidarity should be the model, but I wish they had written a handbook to share with others. I'm not sure any history written by those outside the movement would get the motivation and messaging right.
