Alright people,

Time to get up and attack the day.

There are only 9 hours of daylight to work with so let’s get to it?

(where is my coffee,....)

it is still dark here on the far left coast.

I hear you.

Morning, campers. The week of craziness continues.

I had to be at an IEP meeting for number 2 son at 8:00 this morning, which meant getting all the kids up, dressed, fed, and out the door a half hour earlier than usual.  Now I need a shower.

I offer you the Democrats in the House of Representatives.  They are certainly "a shower," in the British slang sense.

Stanford U. administrators compare College Republicans to mass shooters and terrorists; ignore actual violence against College Republicans.

It's probably not as bad as you might think.  "Shower" in (classic) British slang is short for "shit shower"; Terry-Thomas uses it a number of times to describe the union officials he is fighting in the classic film "I'm All Right, Jack," where he plays opposite Peter Sellers.

Individualized Education Program.

You're kid will almost certainly never need one; three of mine have had them.  The meetings are a bi-yearly check-up to make sure the school/district are doing what they are supposed to under Section 504.

Well, he won't care about his nose then.

Sounds like allergies. An antihistamine (Benadryl) with diphenhydramine should help. Might make you as sleepy as schnapps, but it should do the trick.

Attractive thought---after all, imbibe enough and one won't care about the rest---but I do have some work to do today.

Antihistamine of some sort, I'd say.  Then again, I am merely a Doctor of Laws, not Medicine.

And now for something completely different:

Dances With Myths: Half-truths about American Indians' environmental ethic obscure the rational ways in which they have lived with and shaped the natural world.

Long forgotten the Buffalo Jump... drive a whole herd of buffalo off a cliff, take hides and choice, easily removed meat. Leave the rest.

Lies!!!! All Native Americans lived in perfect harmony with nature Nature, and communicated telepathically with all living creatures via their Tree of Souls.  Or maybe that was in "Avatar".  Anyway, it's still true.
