How many times will you miss date a check before you get it right in January? it used to be a big issue, when we still wrote checks. i suppose it won’t be all that long before we have to explain to the youth what a checkbook was, much as we now have to explain what a phone booth was.

Happy New Year East Coasters!!!!! I might not even make it to midnight here on the left coast. One of my FB friends, a guy, mentioned that he was unsure what to wear for his New Years Eve on the living room couch, LOL! I am on the computer, in my room, wearing a lovely white and purple robe and I just fixed a second martini.

Reply to Syrah in 2: My daughter is 27, and I remember teaching her how to write a check about 10 years ago. These days, I doubt she even writes a check for the rent. It's all Venmo.

Reply to Syrah in 10: At least the interest rate is low now. Back in the day, when our business was young, the interest was very high. We "carried the paper" for our clients who needed time payments. I don't even know if I posted about this here but our last employee (a wonderful guy) decided he was sick of doing plumbing and left on March 1st. On March 24, my hubby had a stroke. We ended up just giving up on the business.
