Now we have ssl (secure sockets layer), which means your password is secure if you use this url:

https://rudebridge.net/

And the browser won't say "not secure"  any more.

A reference to a movie I never saw?

Thanks. Never saw that one; was losing interest in cartoons by then.

Let me know. Sometimes copy and paste (if you had to use it) picks up a space before and/or after the actual word.

But you did make me check reset password to find it doesn't work on this system. I have some ideas to check, and google is good at finding computer-related error messages

When I was a kid, New Year's Day was the holiday our family did.  My grandmother did Thanksgiving and Christmas; my aunt took over Christmas when they got a big enough house.  Standard fare was barbecued chicken, according to some horrible 1950s women's magazine, boiled potatoes and various other sides, one of which was always a  green salad involving grapefruit wedges.  The day was spent watching football.  I usually spent the day with a migraine and sick to my stomach, mainly because we ate so late and because there was something about the smell of the food that did me in.  Very likely, there were multiple things I was allergic to in the buffet.

Needless to day, New Years Day is not a holiday that I have good associations with.

I have just wasted half an hour of my life suffering through a "sexual harassment/misconduct" online tutorial for the school where I teach.  I am coming to hate social workers generally, female social workers more, and black female social workers even more.

The endless parade of word-salad garbage windows that one has to sit through with these things is agonizing.  Then there is---finally!---the "quiz" where you have to choose the Politically Correct Answers to pass and retain your position.  The most telling was the one that said, outright, that complying with school regulations and Title Blah Blah was less important than any sort of free speech.  And, of course, once you reply to the questions, you have to hit "Submit," which is in its own way telling also.

The three years we had those, I had a perfect score.

This year they kept sending me threatening emails that I had to complete it this year or they'd stop paying me.

A rather spirited email exchange resulted.

Oh, sorry---training corollary: "If a student complains about you you have no recourse, and anything you do will be taken as evidence of your guilt."

Sort of like being investigated by Democrats.  Oh, wait ...

ONLY if the student is above you on the intersectional victim status list.

However, Buzz, as a white Jew, you are on the bottom (as am I)

This is why if a student complains about an instructor's Jew-hateism (I'll link to the article that suggested the name later), the student is told it is the instructor's right to free speech.
