I hurt. Came down with a flu bug last night hardcore. Really weird too. At one point I was sweating, but my feet were icicles. This was while I was under the covers. Still feeling achy and feverish this morning.

Picked it up from the Squire?

Since the kids don't have school today I'm making pancakes.

This might be important to a few of us here.

A federal version of California’s gig killer Bill is in the works.

Uber and Lyft threaten the medallion system of limiting taxies. The unions are also trying to expand their influence.

There is a lot of money and power at risk.

Gig jobs are difficult for the political class to tax and control.

Why do Democrats have such poor leaders?

Politicians of all political parties can be stupid, venal and crooked. But as long as the government remains limited and most Americans are free to run their own lives, the impact of political stupidity and corruption can be marginalized.

That emphasized line should be put up in every legislature and government executive office.

So did today's apocalypse lead to the destruction of democracy?  I haven't noticed the world coming to an end, but that's because I've been making creme brulee with my daughter.

Oh, the pro-gun march that ended peacefully. Which is what you expect. People don't want to make trouble when everyone around them is armed.

He's claiming credit for "de-escalating" the crisis and making everything peaceful.  And the Propaganda Companies are eating it up.

Apparently, the little coward wasn't even in the state at the time. Instead of speaking to the rally, he released a weaselly statement.

Speaking just for myself, I was *totally* prepared to drive down to Richmond and open fire with all of my military-grade assault weapons on everyone I could find; but governor coonman’s wonderful tweets convinced me otherwise.
