I had bagels and lox this morning.  Coffee almost gone so I guess I need to venture out to the store.

Beer may lose its fizz as CO2 supplies go flat during pandemic
NEW YORK/LOS ANGELES - Dwindling supplies of carbon dioxide from ethanol plants is sparking concern about shortages of beer, soda and seltzer water - essentials for many quarantined Americans.

Brewers and soft-drink makers use carbon dioxide, or CO2, for carbonation, which gives beer and soda fizz. Ethanol producers are a key provider of CO2 to the food industry, as they capture that gas as a byproduct of ethanol production and sell it in large quantities.

Medal of Honor recipient, Opelika native Bennie Adkins dies after battle with COVID-19

“During the 38-hour battle and 48-hours of escape and evasion, fighting with mortars, machine guns, recoil-less rifles, small arms, and hand grenades, it was estimated that Sergeant First Class Adkins killed between 135 and 175 of the enemy while sustaining 18 different wounds to his body,” Adkins’ Medal of Honor citation reads. “Sergeant First Class Adkins’ extraordinary heroism and selflessness above and beyond the call of duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, Detachment A-102, 5th Special Forces Group, 1st Special Forces and the United States Army.”

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 4:   The only setback would be they would classify the deaths from carbon monoxide poisonings as Covid-19 deaths.  I'm pretty sure it would be too cold 9 months out of the year in Mass, like Wisc.  Could only do it here Jun, Jul and August without your car heater running and your windows rolled up./

Holy Moses.

Reminds me of a joke I heard years back, the punchline of which is, adjusted for this gentleman: “The moral of the story is, “Don’t f**k with Uncle Bennie when he’s been drinking.’”

The dwarf is also an asshole. Robert Reich @RBReich · 5h So let me get this straight: Jeff Bezos has grown his fortune by $24,000,000,000 during this pandemic, but he still can't afford to provide sick leave to all of his employees? Truth... all employees have sick leave. Employees with COVID get full pay while off.

Our 16 year old tiny poodle with a heart condition was coughing like he was trying to throw up something, and it was getting worse.

Took him to the emergency vet. Congestive heart condition. Would have to stay in an oxygen tent. Decided it was the end. As they were preparing him, they rushed me in, he was going right then. At least he went without pain.

Our other dogs knew something was wrong with him.
