Perhaps we need a formal party, with various earls, lords, and ladies.

Or maybe we just need one thread a day. Already have two this week, maybe not next week

Next Sunday, if we don't have an average of more than 10 pub posts a night, NOT including mine (unless there is a good conversation going) we get one daily thread.

Feeling like I'm in solitary. Go to work, pass masked people in the corridors, and maybe have a zoom.gov meeting.

Even when other people are in my group, they don't stop by (twice since March)

I does my best, Kosh---but hell, I often get little response in the day thread.

And, I still want Babba to show up here.

Kosh, it is slow at night lately, but it's summertime and the livin' is easy, so to speak.  Come the cooler weather and less outdoor activity and shorter daylight hours, The Pub will thrive once again.

I appreciate the ongoing daily effort you put into Rudebridge for all of us to effortlessly enjoy.  Lurk mode is important too, seemingly thankless, but important.

If The Pub is COVIDed for a time, assure us it is temporary. You have executive powers to do so.  We (I) look forward to returning to normalcy.

I can't post during the day, even on my phone. I would be surprised if they weren't monitoring activity from phones.

And I might get to work from home, finally, but even then, I won't post while I'm on government time.

I know. We lost too many people in two transitions.

BTW, did anyone watch the video in #1? Back when SNL was really funny.

Formal party with Lord Salisbury (nice steaks, especially when you add the sauce Lord Worcestershire has).

The Earl of Sandwich, well, you can figure out what he did with it.

Lord Cardigan was not allowed in because the sweater he was wearing was inappropriate.

And then, Lord and Lady D......

I might call her and nag her.  She's been MIA on Twitter the past week or so.  Her health is always fragile.

I liked when Buck Henry almost lost it.

Howdy.  I had a pretty pleasant drive from DC up to Westchester county New York today, traffic was not at all bad and I made very good time. The only low point on the trip was when I pulled into a rest stop on the New Jersey Turnpike, just in time to witness a man who apparently decided he did not want to run the infection risk of going into the facility to use the bathroom; so he simply relieved himself in the parking lot instead.  Dropped trou to his knees to do so. Good grief.

The only other annoyance is, after having a nice dinner with my family, driving back to my hotel parking lot, my left headlight went out. Annoying.

I got the tag for my "new" car today.  The police were nice when they came to the house this morning to make sure I hadn't stolen it.

Classic. You might say Lady D... was the inspiration

You weren't stopped at the border by Cuomo's goons demanding to know where you planned to quarantine for the next 14 days?

no, but there were illuminated signs directing drivers to call a number to see their quarantine status. Very weird times we are living in.
