For the first time in a while, I'm learning a new computer language - Rust.

One of the most complicated and trickiest to get right languages I've ever seen. (Won't compile if it isn't right, and it takes some getting used to the syntax)

Designed to prevent common bugs of memory being overwritten, memory leaks, etc., so the lifetime of objects is checked at compile time by the "borrow checker". 

Fun, even if frustrating at times, to learn. Doing it all in Linux, either my linux system (one so old it could no longer run Win7) or the Windows Subsystem for Linux (but with an X Windows server so I can run Emacs gui)
