Come on in! No Sumptuary Laws restricting the number of tables!

Went grocery shopping today and hardly anybody was wearing a mask.  It was quite nice to see faces again, even the ugly ones!  I guess I really missed seeing people smile.

I should clarify that is confirmed cases not deaths.  There have been a total of 72 deaths for my entire county.

As of Friday, it was no longer illegal for me to cross the road and check the mailbox without a mask, as long as I can socially distance.

But still required indoors.

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 5:  You have my sympathy.  The only store we had to mask up for was WalMart.  Cricket Phone, Aldi's Grocery, Charlie's Country Market (grocery) and the local cheese factory outlet store - no masks required.  First time I've been grocery shopping in over a year that I haven't come home with a headache.  I really think the headaches were from a lack of oxygen.

Reply to Alice in Dairyland in 6:  Oh yeah, the gas station and post office too were maskless.

Governor's orders, all stores require masks. Even put one on most of the time at the gas station.

At least Massachusetts has the sense to consider alcohol an essential product. Liquor stores stayed open. Necessary if you want to live here/

And also in the tradition of some of our "great" politicians. After all, the Kennedy fortune came because the father bought the right to import Scotch to the US real cheap during Prohibition. Was worth a lot later!

One station has those plastic produce bags to put on while handling the gas nozzle. I use them, and will if they are still there after COVID.

Good idea, protection against any kind of germs.

Necessary no matter where you live.

Looking forward to supper tomorrow night.  First cutting of asparagus.  I think summer is finally on its way here.  The lows are still dipping down to freezing at night.  Will have to cut all that's up so it doesn't freeze and go to waste.  Can hardly wait!

Liquor stores stayed open here in California as well.  I was a little surprised that our governor didn't shut them down.

Reply to @PBJ3 in 11:  I think there would have been blood running in the streets if they tried to shut down alcohol sales in Wisconsin!  Drinking is like our favorite past time here.  Every event has alcohol sales at it.  Well, not grade school or high school events, but everything else.
