Today, I walked around my deep blue neighborhood wearing a T-shirt with a great big American flag on it. I’m not claiming this took any particular strength of character or bravery, but it was something. I did not see a single other person in my deep blue neighborhood displaying anything of any sort to observe the significance of this date.

September 11 event to feature speakers affiliated with terrorists

Speakers with terrorist affiliations or those who have expressed support for terrorism will be featured at a 9/11 event sponsored by Rutgers University and San Francisco State University on Saturday. 

The panel, "Whose Narrative? 20 Years since September 11, 2001," will serve as a launching point for a semsester-long event that will explore, among other topics, challenging the "exceptionalization of 9/11/2001" and "legitimization of 'war on terror.'"

Speakers on Saturday will include Dr. Sami Al-Arian and Dr. Rabab Abulhadi, academics who have in the past courted controversy in their engagement with terrorists and terrorist organizations.

"Who's Narrative"? Obviously they support those who want to destroy the US. Let them leave. No federal funding for their institutions.

I almost went to the 911 rememberance there tonight.  I haven't felt quite right the last couple of days and my friend who invited me had a third Covid vaccination yesterday and was afraid she'd get sick from the shot.  I am not up to bleachers or stairs these days so that was a concern too. I'm sorry we didn't make it there.
