Note the Unilever CEO could have said that the boycott is illegal, and, while the B&J board can express themselves on social issues they cannot disobey the law, so B&J has to renew in Israel. If the board is adamant, they can buy B&J and do what they want,

I could imagine, at least, a non-crazy, non-Judenhass position of “I agree with Israel’s right to defend itself, but why are US taxpayers paying for this?”.
 

I don’t know if that was his argument, though.

Because the missiles are built by US companies instead of Israeli. Otherwise, Israel would build the missiles themselves and US companies would get very little of the money
