One of the Illinois Democrats apparently claimed today that hearsay evidence can be better than direct evidence.

The Democrats have found their long-sought what-are-you-smoking? gun!

So I am on the mailing list for something called “kid friendly DC“, which, as the name implies, is supposed to be informing parents about events around the nations capital that will be suitable for small children. Today I got the following notice, posted here without comment:

Never saw "Rent," though I've probably heard some of the songs somewhere along the way.  Doesn't sound like it's quite the thing for the toddler set---what next, will they be promoting a revival of "Angels in America?"

BTW, there's a piece up at PJM in the "Culture" section about how the wokies are all upset because there's supposed to be some revival/get together of the "Friends" cast, and apparently the show wasn't sufficiently gay-friendly.

Good Lord. It might be okay for older teenagers, but not kids. I saw the movie version - all I could think about was why these losers didn't get real jobs and pay the damn rent.

But don’t you dare think they’re trying to “groom“ young children for their “lifestyle“, because if you do, you’re a right-wing hater.

Well, it is, I have heard, based on La Boheme opera,

Here is the parody from Team America

You may recall that back in the old SOB days, I was initially a supporter of same-sex marriage, on the "What the hell, why not?" line of reasoning. As the push for it became more acrimonious, and I watched the changes in language advocating it, thinking back to the gay-rights stuff I'd read in my college years which proudly trumpeted the movement's opposition to marriage and desire for its destruction---which it has never actually disavowed---I realized that the "marriage" push was actually for the purpose of getting a toehold in "equal rights" jurisprudence that could later be leveraged in all sorts of ways, and I changed my mind.

Jim Crow laws, which decreed who could not be served, no longer exist; but the Left is doing everything it can to institute Jim Queer laws which decree who must be served, and where and how.

I knew it was based on La Boheme. They basically changed tuberculosis to AIDS. I still think everyone concerned should have gotten jobs.
