Howdy.  Dining at the restaurant at Barneys flagship store on Madison Ave in Manhattan.  Barney’s is... closing, and having a liquidation sale.  EVERYTHING MUST GO!, etc.   Now,  Barney’s has always been stupid-expensive,  but for some reason, this still makes me a bit sad.

Just spent an hour chatting with Dell Support, but they DID fix the problem.

One of my systems would not connect to the internet via wifi

I actually go through their business store; better support.

Apparently if you are in France, and kill someone while high on Pot, it is OK.

The murderer of an elderly Jewish woman in her Paris apartment in April 2017 was excused a criminal trial by French prosecutors on Thursday, on the grounds that his intake of cannabis on the night of the killing had rendered him temporarily insane.

The decision by the Court of Appeal in Paris means that Kobili Traore — who brutally slew 65-year-old Sarah Halimi while shouting religious slogans — will not have to account before the law for a crime that he both admitted to and apologized for in a court appearance at the end of last month.

Tomorrow our boss takes us out to lunch for all the work. I did get it moved from a Chinese place (they frequently put shellfish-based sauces in the food) to an Indian place where if they say it is vegetarian, it is, lest Shiva chop them up into non-vegetarian chutney.

Boss said "I wanted to try out this Indian place" so there was no big deal.
