So, unless things change drastically in the next dozen years, Princeton is off the list for Little OR:

I am running out of words to describe how shocked, appalled, and angry I am, especially regarding university professors whom one would expect to champion free inquiry and the open exchange of ideas. At this rate, you may as well turn Little OR's college fund into seed money for his first business.

Very happy to see that none of my friends at Princeton signed the bloody thing.

So, confirmed COVID cases have increased.  So, not only must my temperature be taken before the start of the shift, it must also be taken after the lunch break.

(Working retail sucks on so many levels.)

How long would an NFL player stay if he tweeted "David Duke was right"?

But tweeting "Hitler was right" is OK.

Fuck the NFL. They should lose all tax and antitrust breaks, and be forbidden from using public stadiums and other property.

Want to play here? Pay for it. 3x. 1x to buy it, 2x goes to education against Jew hatred.

And I'm sure the committee would have no problems with Jew hatred and anti-Zionism.

But anyone who is pro-Israel would be booted off campus.

BTW, it looks like COVID does affect the brain (link)

Over 40 coronavirus patients in the UK who were mildly affected or recovering from the virus have suffered complications ranging from brain inflammation and delirium to nerve damage and stroke, regardless of the severity of other COVID-19 symptoms, according to data published in the journal Brain on Wednesday, The Guardian reported.

There are still the military colleges, and a few others.

I am reminded that any form of Marxism leads to disaster - just ask Fredonia about Groucho Marxism!

Reminds me of how some of the WWII memoirs I've read refer to men who went to the prep school The Groton School, in Massachusetts.

Nowadays, the town of Groton is most likely to have leftist signs- last election, that's where I saw the most Bernie signs, and it is an expensive place to live. J. Geils, of the rock group, retired there.

I doubt the school teaches patriotism now like it did what, 80 years ago.

I have come to accept that it is entirely up to me to teach my son patriotism, because it’s unlikely that anyone else will.

We'll be doing well if you aren't sent to the gulag for doing so.

And me to the gulag for supporting Israel.

I think the Messiah is due very soon.

Seriously---start looking for English-class textbooks from fifty, sixty, seventy years ago.  They will have "multicultural" stories, and they will have patriotic and inspiring verses.

We can talk about this at greater length sometime.

I wish I still had the elementary  school readers from the 1920's. I think they got ruined in a flood in my parents' basement.

Those are the books I learned how to read - I had my parents point to the words as they read to me. I could read before kindergarten.

Good night. I might get close to 6 hours sleep.
