Too many moving pieces, and the timing is not coincidental, methinks. From last night:

U.S. Military Intercepts Chinese and Russian Bombers Ahead of Biden Speech

North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) announced that the U.S. military intercepted two Russian and two Chinese bombers in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) on Wednesday ahead of Joe Biden's speech.

...

According to NORAD, "An ADIZ begins where sovereign airspace ends and is a defined stretch of international airspace that requires the ready identification of all aircraft in the interest of national security."

It was just coincidence this happened just as Biden was about to speak. Just a random thingy.

I saw OR's post about the Free Palestine mob hitting up the hill. Just out of curiosity: how did Kamala Harris handle the news back in June when the Israeli Defense Forces rescued four hostage? After all, if she's going to be the nominee, we need to know her position. Here's what she said

"Before I begin,” Harris said, “I just say a few words about the morning which I know weighs heavily on all of our hearts.” She started off reasonably well: "On Oct. 7, Hamas committed a brutal massacre of 1,200 innocent people and abducted 250 hostages. Thankfully, four of those hostages were reunited with their families tonight. And we mourn all of the innocent lives that have been lost in Gaza, including those tragically killed today."

"Innocent lives"? They just happened to be there when the hostages were rescued, eh? Sheesh.

If she gets in, those mobs are going to only get worse, and everywhere.

Then, apparently these people decided maggots were the best weapon of choice: Hamas Fanatics Menace Netanyahu and Israeli Delegation, Spread Maggots, and Pull Fire Alarms

Can't you tell these protesters are just like those brave students from the 60's protesting equal rights? It's just so obvious!

The Liberal Media Accidentally Exposed Kamala's Achilles Heel

I love how the media is trying to hide what she did when it's all over the historical record in a number of places.

What are people's thoughts on this?

Gamechanger: Is a Trump-RFK Jr. Alliance in the Works?

Talking is cheap, of course, and it's slightly concerning considering what a loon he is on some topics. But to me it also signals that Trump is willing to talk to anyone, which is more than you can say about many Democrats.

I was iffy on RFK his Veep pick was the end.

At this point RFK endorsing Trump brings in votes. I wouldn't object to putting RFK into a cabinet seat.

The Kipling poem below deals with some murders in Phoenix Park, which I believe is in Dublin, that had to do with the then-controversy over Irish home rule.  I confess that despite having tried to read some online accounts of the case, I've never been able to make sense of the actual story of the case; I don't know enough about the players or the issues involved.

Why then post it?  Because the level of outrage expressed in the poem is so beautifully expressed, and so closely matches the disgust one must feel regarding the dodging and shifting of blame going on as regards the "inquiries" over the recent attempted assassination of Trump (and so much else the current administration has prevaricated about), that even though the facts the verses deal with are obscure and our own government has no "crown," the emotions are absolutely contemporary---especially the last verse.  Read it for texture rather than information:

"Cleared"

(In Memory of a Commission)
Help for a patriot distressed, a spotless spirit hurt,
Help for an honourable clan sore trampled in the dirt!
From Queenstown Bay to Donegal, oh, listen to my song,
The honourable gentlemen have suffered grievous wrong.

Their noble names were mentioned -- oh, the burning black disgrace! --
By a brutal Saxon paper in an Irish shooting-case;
They sat upon it for a year, then steeled their heart to brave it,
And "coruscating innocence" the learned Judges gave it.

Bear witness, Heaven, of that grim crime beneath the surgeon's knife,
The "honourable gentlemen" deplored the loss of life!
Bear witness of those chanting choirs that burke and shirk and snigger,
No man laid hand upon the knife or finger to the trigger!

Cleared in the face of all mankind beneath the winking skies,
Like phœnixes from Phœnix Park (and what lay there) they rise!
Go shout it to the emerald seas -- give word to Erin now,
Her honourable gentlemen are cleared -- and this is how: --

They only paid the Moonlighter his cattle-hocking price,
They only helped the murderer with counsel's best advice,
But -- sure it keeps their honour white -- the learned Court believes
They never give a piece of plate to murderers and thieves.

They never told the ramping crowd to card a woman's hide,
They never marked a man for death -- what fault of theirs he died? --
They only said "intimidate," and talked and went away --
By God, the boys that did the work were braver men than they!

Their sin it was that fed the fire -- small blame to them that heard --
The boys get drunk on rhetoric, and madden at a word --
They knew whom they were talking at, if they were Irish too,
The gentlemen that lied in Court, they knew, and well they knew!

They only took the Judas-gold from Fenians out of jail,
They only fawned for dollars on the blood-dyed Clan-na-Gael.
If black is black or white is white, in black and white it's down,
They're only traitors to the Queen and rebels to the Crown.

"Cleared", honourable gentlemen! Be thankful it's no more: --
The widow's curse is on your house, the dead are at your door.
On you the shame of open shame; on you from North to South
The hand of every honest man flat-heeled across your mouth.

"Less black than we were painted"? -- Faith, no word of black was said;
The lightest touch was human blood, and that, you know, runs red.
It's sticking to your fist to-day for all your sneer and scoff,
And by the Judge's well-weighed word you cannot wipe it off.

Hold up those hands of innocence -- go, scare your sheep together,
The blundering, tripping tups that bleat behind the old bell-wether;
And if they snuff the taint and break to find another pen,
Tell them it's tar that glistens so, and daub them yours again!

"The charge is old"? -- As old as Cain -- as fresh as yesterday;
Old as the Ten Commandments -- have ye talked those laws away?
If words are words, or death is death, or powder sends the ball,
You spoke the words that sped the shot -- the curse be on you all!

"Our friends believe"? -- Of course they do -- as sheltered women may;
But have they seen the shrieking soul ripped from the quivering clay?
They! -- If their own front door is shut,
  they'll swear the whole world's warm;
What do they know of dread of death or hanging fear of harm?

The secret half a county keeps, the whisper in the lane,
The shriek that tells the shot went home behind the broken pane,
The dry blood crisping in the sun that scares the honest bees,
And shows the boys have heard your talk -- what do they know of these?

But you -- you know -- ay, ten times more; the secrets of the dead,
Black terror on the country-side by word and whisper bred,
The mangled stallion's scream at night, the tail-cropped heifer's low.
Who set the whisper going first? You know, and well you know!

My soul! I'd sooner lie in jail for murder plain and straight,
Pure crime I'd done with my own hand for money, lust, or hate,
Than take a seat in Parliament by fellow-felons cheered,
While one of those "not provens" proved me cleared as you are cleared.

Cleared -- you that "lost" the League accounts -- go, guard our honour still,
Go, help to make our country's laws that broke God's law at will --
One hand stuck out behind the back, to signal "strike again";
The other on your dress-shirt-front to show your heart is clane.

If black is black or white is white, in black and white it's down,
You're only traitors to the Queen and rebels to the Crown.
If print is print or words are words, the learned Court perpends: --
We are not ruled by murderers, but only -- by their friends.

Thanks for sharing. If you find an explanation of what truly happened, I would like to read it so I can better understand the context of some lines. Clearly they are linking back to specific players and actions, but without understanding what, it makes it difficult to truly understand the poem as well as could be done.

Proposed question for Harris's next press conference:  " "Who is buried in Grant's Tomb?"

Predicted reply:  "Tombs contain us, and embrace us. And the question we have to ask ourselves, not just now, but for our children and grandchildren, who exist not only in the present, but also, in the future, is; what ways of being will we be pursuing, in a holistic way, in order to ensure that future, for our children?"

Damn. I think if you tried to feed her speeches to an AI, you'd categorically break the AI. But your parody is spot on!

Actually, I'd say they are worse than mad libs, given that there's no there there. At least in mad libs, you're actually putting real words into the sentences. In her case, it's all empty space.

Harris pretends to be presidentish, mewls about the poor, suffering Gazans, after meeting with Bibi

Bibi should in turn "reply" to this in Gaza itself, with a.... how do you say "Arclight" in Hebrew?

Saying that she supports Israel but wants more aid in Gaza is like saying, in WWII, I support England but more aid needs to be sent to Germany.

I look forward to Harris (or whoever replaces her) getting crushed at the polls in November; and the very next day, Bibi being able to finally speak freely about his meeting with this moronic, hateful bimbo.

Same here. And were I rabbi with the power, I would declare her "Jewish" husband cherem - excommunicated - for not divorcing her hairy camel ass.
I do have to say though, I am not sure she hates Jews or Israel, or just says what manages to surface in her head. Another puppet president.
