Ugh. My brain is fried. Too much number crunching for the first day of the year, but it had to be done. I truly hope and pray that everyone here and everyone's friends and relations have a wonderful 2026.

At least 6 reported killed during widening protests in Iran sparked by ailing economy DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Widening demonstrations sparked by Iran’s ailing economy spread Thursday into the Islamic Republic’s rural provinces, with at least six people being killed in the first fatalities reported among security forces and protesters, authorities said. The deaths may mark the start of a heavier-handed response by Iran’s theocracy over the demonstrations, which have slowed in the capital, Tehran, but expanded elsewhere. The fatalities, one on Wednesday and five on Thursday, occurred in three cities predominantly home to Iran’s Lur ethnic group.

New search MH-370 in the Indian Ocean Malaysia’s government gave the green light in March for another “no-find, no-fee” contract with Ocean Infinity to resume the seabed search operation at a new site stretching over 15,000 square kilometers (5,800 square miles) of water. Ocean Infinity will be paid $70 million only if wreckage is discovered. However, the search was suspended in April due to bad weather. The government said Wednesday that Ocean Infinity will resume the search intermittently from Dec. 30 for 55 days in targeted areas believed to have the highest likelihood of finding the missing aircraft.

Godspeed to them.
A defenestration of the mullahs would have incredibly beneficial ripple effects throughout the entire region, and the world.
