And on  this Labor Day morning, we wake up to a  !NEW! !IMPROVED! blog.

New  users are guests,  not  full members

There is a Cancel  button  to  clear  the post editor

And if you refresh using the button (NOT the browser refresh!) with text  in the  editor, you  will  be  warned

Yep.  It works.  Thanks for continuing the upgrades.

On this Labor Day I won't be laboring at my job, but laboring to accomplish a long list of shopping chores.

(Remember back in the day when most neighborhood stores and gas stations were closed on a national holiday?)

I do.  The town I grew up in closed down firmly on most holidays.  At the boat store, though, we kept working -- Labor Day weekend was one of our biggest of the year, after Memorial Day and Fourth of July.

Reply to midwestgak in 2: I'm so old, I remember when everything was shut down on Sundays too!  It was kind of nice though.  Seems like we got together with family more back then.

Just got back from another week camping up north.  No cell service where we were, so have to spend some time catching up with what went on in the world since then.  Have I missed anything really important?  Just don't tell me there's another new disease out there, another form of killer insects is on its way here, Trump can't win the election or Nancy Pelosi hair doesn't look just fabulous now.  Be back later...

That looks crude, but it works, and it was an explicit request from Buzzsawmonkey. Who knows what  was lost when he clicked refresh with some partially written parody?

KOSH ROCKS!

Thanks for all your work again.

If you want to set up a PayPal, Venmo or something similar.

Heck I'll send small unmarked, non-sequential bills in a brown wrapper to a anonymous mail drop....

To help defray the costs of the blog.

Thanks, but for now I can handle it, and I'd rather not have any hard to explain money coming in,

This isn't that expensive, unless we get really popular and I need to upgrade the hosting plan.

Kosh, thanks again for your great work on the underpinnings of the blog. It is very much appreciated.

I was able to get my husband to help me clean part of the basement, and that was enough for me. I had no great burning desire to do more cleaning today.

No cook out or barbecue for us; I simply can't take all the smoke.

Buzz had noted that Jacob Blake's  father was a  raging  Jew  hater.

Biden  met with him. What do you think they'd be saying if Trump met with him?

Biden met last week with the family of Jacob Blake, an African-American man who was left paralyzed when he was shot by a police officer in Kenosha, Wis., after resisting arrest.

As it turns out, Jacob Blake Sr. has been angry about a lot of things long before his son’s scuffle with the police led to tragedy. His Facebook page had been filled with hate for years. Most of Blake’s posts were violently anti-Semitic in which he reproduced traditional memes about “pink toe Jewish people” controlling the economy and the media. It was no surprise that a person who spewed anti-Semitism would say he was “with Farrakhan 100%.” As a Nation of Islam sympathizer, it’s also unsurprising that he posted a picture of Jesus in a toilet bowl to show his antipathy for Christianity.

According to Harris it's an incredible family.....

There should be a RNC ad there...

The father's posts and Harris saying that.

I doubt there will be anyplace for Jews, even the woke ones, under  a Harris administration. Look at how the ADL isn't woke enough for the Inquisition mob.

And yet,  Trump is the anti-Semite. The cognitive dissonance HURTS!

Kosh---belated thanks for all the work you've been doing.

In the meantime, does anyone know---will Portland be hosting the Burning Man festival this year?

Did you try the check for empty post? Type something, and click the refresh button.

I don't know how it works on Safari,  since I don't have a functional Mac.
