Maybe, but it definitely feels like fall.

But the Moody blues never wrote a series of songs about Monday, did they...

It's cooled off slightly here, but it doesn't quite feel like fall yet.

We'll have to call on the Mamas and the Papas for that. Or if you want to save time, the Cure mentions all the days on the way to It's Friday, I'm in Love.

The Atlantic's latest smear-job against Trump is falling apart rather briskly.

How desperate do they have to be to attempt to smear Trump as insufficiently pro-US military?  Seems just last week, he was Literally Hitler and a military dictator and all that.

I think they should pivot to their next story now:  "Trump is too soft-spoken and self-effacing, and therefore unfit to be President."

Indeed, along with the Boomtown Rats.  and we've got the Velvet Underground for Sunday morning.

And yet again, my liberals friends have completely fallen for this story, despite the fact that all the support in the story is anonymous and multiple people (and printed records) have come out by name to say the allegations are false. I've decided there is no way that I can argue with them and get them to think rationally about Trump, so I just don't even try any more.

Just got back from a walk around the wealthy neighborhood that backs up to mine (houses in the $500K-$1 million range). No Biden or Trump signs. Five BLM signs, one of which is next door to a sign supporting the city police department, and one American flag. I didn't cover the entire  neighborhood, but it seems representative. There used to be a lot more pro-police signs but they have mysteriously disappeared.

The million dollar-plus neighborhood around me:  Lots of BLM signs, the usual "hate has no home here/migrants and refugees welcome" signs (right next to the "Protected by ADT Home Security" signs, of course).  No Trump signs that I recall, but that is to be expected for this area.  Some Biden signs,  but nothing like the wall-to-wall drooling fandom for Obama or even H. Clinton.  And interestingly, the most common variation on that is a stylized "BYE  DON",  sign, which I think speaks volumes about the lack of Dem voter enthusiasm for their actual candidate.

Afternoon. The Squire managed to behave himself on the school bus home. Makes somethings easier for us. Hopefully the bus driver is on time tomorrow morning unlike today. :)

And I hate dealing with customers on the front end. :/

And so from that I presume that you have real, physical school up and running... lucky you, on that count.

The Durban conference on racism that turned into an anti-Israel and anti-Jew hatefest was 20 years ago.

It was 20 years ago today
Durban brought the world some hate
Jews have never been in style
But this really raised some ire

The UN-sponsored Jew-hatred plan

(Apologies to the Beatles and Sgt. Pepper)

No kidding on being lucky. Of course they are talking about level two outbreaks and possible needs to shut down. Of course if that happens we're all screwed financially and economically.

Some of the morons made a good point about female mayors and police chiefs. In Atlanta, the chief was forced to resign, and the mayor was in way over her head. The main reason we're not Rochester South is because our Republican governor put a stop to it. The other reason is that the business community is very influential here and they made their views known.

I heard about that one, too.

No wonder COVID spread. No matter whether it got loose accidentally or on purpose, they let people spread it around, while telling WHO it was not contagious.

The Chinese Communist Party really needs to pay for the results.

Fires are still breaking out here In Kalifornia and now today they are being fanned by high winds making containment nearly impossible. Smoke is thick in the valley today, miserable conditions. Here is a link to the reports on a brand new fire burning near Loon lake, a beautiful camping spot I like that is not very far from my home. By now it’s probably charred the campground beyond recognition. This Loon Lake Fire  will be a another big one with plenty of dry forest and brush to fuel it, heaven help us.

When will this madness stop? One fire after another with no clear end in sight, it’s a nightmare come true.

When I was in Kindergarten the bus driver for my little school was also the town constable.  Having a bus driver with a revolver on his hip kept shenanigans to a minimum.
