Gotta do one of those video conference things in a minute.  Better get my hand lotion and kleenex ready.

Ew. Not the way I wanted to start my day! In my case, there's a meeting at 2:00 that I don't have on my schedule. Did someone intentionally not invite me or did I decline a meeting? Waiting to find out.

Meanwhile, Stephen Kruiser is listing the questions he'd like to see a debate moderator put to Biden, and I think the best one is, "Vice President, do you know what day it is?"

I don't know what day it is, or if it's dark or fair

Somehow that's just the way it is, and I don't really care

I go to this or that place, I act alive and well

My head is just a hat-place, my breast an empty shell

And I've a faded dream to sell...

Joe Biden's earliest days in the Senate as revealed in a 1974 interview: crass and venal, using his office for monetary gain.

Oh, yeah, he's as clean as the driven snow.

I had a meeting scheduled for 9:30 and almost missed it. I scrambled to log in, only to find it had been canceled. So I've got coffee, anyway.

Turns out my meeting was mislabeled--it was a different team, not mine. So I'm working on building new computers for the ever-continuing process of replacing machines.

Thanks, OR.

Regarding your comment last night, it appears that I've been misinformed for years on the translation of "Cosi fan Tutte."  Is my face red!

Let's reimagine policing!

Portland sees more burglary calls, slower response times as officers decline

Data from the Portland Police Bureau shows these cases aren’t a one-off. In the first 5 months of the year, officers got to burglary calls, on average, in 36 minutes. From June to September while the city experienced ongoing demonstrations, the time nearly tripled to 90 minutes. The Portland Police Bureau provided the following statement to slow response times.

Regarding response times, there are a lot of factors to consider. What is happening City-wide and within the precincts and how many officers are available at any given time is important. Also, if it is a call involving an imminent life safety risk versus a “cold” call where the crime already occurred and there is not an identified current public safety risk. PPB responds to calls as quickly as we are able with the resources we have. It is false to assume PPB is not responding and in fact, we have even recently captured a burglar in the act. We recognize our local businesses are struggling enough with COVID and all of the other challenges 2020 has brought and being the victim of a burglary is an additional stressor we do not want any of our business community members to experience.

Recently released information from the city showed at least 70 officers from Patrol Officers to Captains have left the department this year with the city is stuck in a hiring freeze amid the pandemic.

Wow totally did not see that coming!

And there are a list of Biden charities that just help... the Bidens. I know you're shocked.

And once those resources are exhausted, there’re be no response at all. That’s “progress” to the progressives, a way of redistributing wealth through theft! ~spit~

His foundation is nothing more than a racket!

During its brief three-year history, the Biden Foundation raised nearly $10 million but less than ten percent was awarded to other charities—and half of that meager sum was donated to another Biden-run nonprofit.

We thought Hillary Clinton was the outlier in her racket, but it looks like this is standard operating procedure in Washington. Let the buyer beware.

And then we have the Republicans in New Hampshire being told their houses will be burned to the ground if they vote for Trump.

This level of insanity is simply incredible. Where are the police? Where are the National Guard?

Hunter Biden email confirmed as genuine, and that Joe Biden knew about the deals

Tony Bobulinski, who was listed as the recipient of an email published by the New York Post that appeared to detail a business arrangement involving a Chinese company and members of the Biden family, has confirmed that the email is "genuine" and provided more information regarding the Bidens' role in the deal.

The email includes a note that “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.” A proposed equity split references “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” with no further details.

"The reference to 'the Big Guy' in the much publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden," Bobulinski said in a statement to Fox News.

Bobulinski said he is the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, which he explained "was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family." He said he was brought on as CEO by Hunter Biden and James Gilliar, who was listed as the sender of the email.

Bobulinski went on to say he does not believe Joe Biden's past claim that he and Hunter did not discuss his son Hunter's business, claiming that Hunter "frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals."

So now that this has been confirmed, Twitter will unblock it, right?////////////

So, will the Democrats keep Biden as the figurehead until after the election and then decide he is incapable of fulfilling the office, and remove him, or remove him as a candidate before the election? I think they'll wait.

The letters say "If Trump doesn't concede"

They'll really go batshit if when he wins.

So I just had some idiot pull up to the curb and yell at me to "put a mask on!".

I was sitting outside at the time.

Eating lunch.

I told him what I thought he should do; I don't think he liked my advice.

I trust that included a middle finger gesture! lol I know I couldn’t have resisted. Also, I doubt that would have happened if you were of a select ethnic group. The nerve of such people!

Heh.

No.  To elaborate; I was sitting in a public space eating my lunch.  He pulled up, and said "put a mask on! Or get the hell out of here!  My wife is coming out of that building!  [pointing to a doorway that's easily 15 feet from where I'm sitting]

I replied: "That's not a very nice thing to say to people.  If I were you, I wouldn't say that again."

And that was that.  His wife then appeared, she got in the vehicle, he angrily put it in reverse, and nearly hit the car behind him.  Quite a guy, that Karen.

Addendum: And after Mr. Mask Karen angrily drove away, an elderly woman, with what I'm deem to be some variation of an anglophone West African accent, who was waiting on the corner, turned to me shaking her head in wonder.  "America... I don't know what's happening to this country," she said.  I agreed.

I caught part of Trump’s rally in PA yesterday and he called Schiff a “watermelon head”. That cracked me up, but the image will be stuck in my mind every time I see him now.
