Where is everyone? I think that looks delicious!

I know, early on the weekend

I woke up at 7:30, dozed a little.  Now on my second cup of coffee and wondering what the weather will bring today.

Just heard that my cousin's oldest son died of COVID today.  He was 42 and an alcoholic -- his liver couldn't take it.  Still, unfortunate.  He had not lived a very happy life.

Today, high near 78, in Massachusetts, early November. After having snow not that long ago and days in the 30's.

We're waiting for a tropical storm.  If it does hit here, it will be the second I've had to deal with in as many weeks.

I've been up for a while now. Usually get up later than that on the weekend. Dogs go out at their usual time, then I go back to sleep for a while.

Dogs needed to go out the next time earlier than usual, and I had such strange tiring dreams that even though I was tired, sleeping even later wasn't going to help.

I can't remember most of the dreams, but one involved a massive Chinese laundry and laundry equipment company. Now, we do have some blankets and similar items being cleaned (at the town's one laundry, run by Chinese) but this was in a massive building and the sewing machines had headlights that were useless the way they were aimed - off the end of them, not down where the work is.

I know I had other dreams, but don't remember them.

And today is the 2nd day when we are supposed to wear masks at all times outside, no matter how far away you are from anyone else.

An epidemiologist calls it "Pandemic theater"

Someone should make a mask in the style of a theatrical mask, with a proscenium arch and curtain, emblazoned with "Gov., Baker's Pandemic Theater"

That’s quite a change, enjoy it while it lasts. It’s 40 deg here this morning, much cooler than the recent weather.

NBC news is showing views of the huge jubilant crowd assembled at Lafayette park. Reports are that Trump is on his way back to the White House, my hope is the crowds will remain peaceful upon his return.

The MSM declares Biden winner and never mentions all the irregularities, so if Trump continues to fight, it will look like he's stealing the election (which was stolen already by the Dems)

Let's hope in the midterms that Republicans (other than RINOS) can still run, and not be subject to the woke inquisition and removed from social media, blocking their campaigns. Only approved candidates can run, with Facebook and Twitter being in control instead of the Communist Party or the Mullahs of Iran.

And you better vote the way the Party wants or your tax returns will be audited with a fine-tooth comb, and you will be harassed out of your job.

Well good, Trump is not going to take this lying down ...

~snip~

“This election is far from over,” Trump said. “Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor.”

Good, but most likely riots until he's gone (hopefully 4 years from January). And the MSM will not accept Trump as President.

Nothing is official at this point, as Trump points out. IMO though it’s not likely the statewide recounts will erase Biden’s lead, but if they somehow do I would agree all hell will break lose.

I’m really hoping things remain peaceful while we await the official recount results though, for the good of the nation. All indications are Biden is calling for calm through all of this, which is a surprisingly decent thing for him to do. It could be worse right now.

The MSM did not accept Trump as president the last four years, nothing is likely to ever change that especially if he miraculously is declared the winner after the all lawsuits are settled.

I'm staying away from the news. I spent the day bottling homebrewed beer. I deleted Twitter from my phone and listened to an audiobook instead. I needed to step back anyway so I'm going to give it a few days. Of course it's not over since the two Senate seats for Georgia will determine the balance of the Senate, and I may get involved at that point, making phone calls or something.

Good for you. I can’t imagine a more relaxing activity than making a batch of good home brew. I take that back ... drinking it would be even more relaxing!

I’ve never been active on Twitter but it must have been stressful lately with their blatant bias, and time consuming. I’m glad you erased it, one less thing to stress over.

I’ve also decided to step back from more news today, I’m watching a Bond marathon on Pluto TV instead. If I get bored with this there is always the World Poker Tour to fall back on. Now that’s a game I stand a chance at winning, I haven’t had much luck in the politics game lately that’s for damn sure.

Tell them how their driving is contributing to global warming, and if they don't want to kill all life on Earth, they have to stop NOW!

IIRC you live in the Atlanta area, when you said you drove to the beach I had no idea you had driven that far south. That’s a long drive plus you broke down, and now you’re stuck in a friggen tropical storm! Sorry to hear that. What can I say other than try and make the best of it? Here I hope this helps ... 🍺

2024, we won't even vote. The polls and Media of Truth will decide who won.

Well, the streets in my Brooklyn neighborhood erupted today---people shouting, whooping, cars honking horns, people banging on pots and blowing horns, because apparently "the media have declared Biden the winner."

Totally unofficial, of course---and if Trump's countermeasures are effective, it will make the subsequent violent reaction all the worse.  But let them have their fun for the moment as they rejoice in the media-proclaimed "victory" of Joe von Hindenburg.

Meanwhile, a rewrite of "Casey at the Bat" seems appropriate.
