Before starting work post-

I had a dream that aliens landed - to start a fast food chain. Never did see what was in the bags of food, though.

The aliens wondered, however, why the media wasn't covering them. I understood but couldn't express in the dream that it was because they couldn't use it against Trump.

And former NYC Mayor Dinkins died.

He lived long enough to see he has a new challenger for worst mayor in the history of NYC.

At least you weren't in the bag.

Morning, campers. In and out today between appointments. The coding wars continue.

If Trump can "pardon a turkey" for Thanksgiving (what a silly ritual that is), he should be able to pardon Flynn.

It's unseasonably warm here in Brooklyn.

Given the financial destruction the New York responses to covid have wrought, I guess we could call it Indian Indigent Summer.

And New Mexico is going to close any grocery store that has 4 cases of COVID-19 in a period of two weeks

Grocery stores.

Given the incredibly high probability of false positives, this is going to cause huge problems and generate no benefit. But it's just an "order", not a law; I really hope some folks start filing lawsuits against this.

Four cases of covid seems like a lot, since you can only put about half a case on the shelves at any one time...

I've got a great idea! We should apply the same rule, only to hospitals this time!

That pretty much describes things here.  Try getting into a hospital/doctors office for non-emergency related issue.  My husband had his physical by phone.  Guess they really don't need all that lab work they normally do anymore.  Another Covid has cured!

On a brighter note, today is my birthday.  I'm officially old!  Should have been my retirement party at work today, but since they eliminated my job a year ago, that didn't happen.  Am I bitter?  Not really.  I think I had a better past year without them in my life.  I really can't say I miss any of it, even the "good" people are fading from memory now.  I just keep remembering how I hated doing this job or that job now.  I truly am much more happy now.  I wished I could have afforded to retire at 62, but it was too hard to walk away from company sponsored health insurance.  Life is good and I am thankful for my blessings!

I'm amazed at how few people didn't realize he's just a figurehead.

I was afraid that his handlers would go full leftist, but so far, it is Obama's third term, which is bad enough.

But I do wonder how long they will leave him in office.

I'm having enough trouble figuring out what to do with my evenings. (Government contract rules - 40 hour weeks without prior approval for overtime. Minus holidays - this week 24 hours)

Now that I don't have a commute, I'm done early. And this week, I was too into what I was doing to stop on time, so today, I had to stop after 6.5 hours. I hope my notes are clear enough when I go back on Monday.

I was shocked by the PA judge's ruling blocking certification. Could he actually throw out all the mysterious midnight votes and declare Trump the winner? If that happens, that would set the precedent for similar challenges in WI and GA. I am not getting my hopes up, but that would spark leftist riots like this country has never seen.

Reply to doppelganglander in 45: The hearing was really inspiring, what I heard of it.  It's 3 1/2 hours long if you want to watch it on CSPAN.  PA was appalled at the fraud in their voting system.  Have been trying to correct it for decades.  Every time they presented a bill to correct something the Governor told them flat out if that comes across my desk, I'll veto it immediately.  I'm thinking they are really grateful someone has shone a light into their dark cheating ways.  Now they have to do something!

PA has a Republican legislature and a Democratic governor, thanks to decades of malfeasance in Philadelphia. You'll recall that's where Black Panthers intimidated white voters at a polling place and Obama's DOJ let the case drop despite iron-clad evidence.

Not merely despite ironclad evidence. The case had actually already been *won*. Obama's Justice Department failed to proceed.
