Good morning.

Raphael Warnock is black.

Did you know that?! Isn’t it cool?!

He’s black!

And that pretty much summarizes everything the mainstream media wants to tell you about him this morning. “Content of character“? What’s that?

I'd like to send out a big, hearty fuck you to every Georgia Republican who didn't vote yesterday. Special vitriol goes to Lin Wood for being a deranged attention whore. I'm sick of everyone and everything right now.

I'm running on about 5 hours of sleep, as our power went out at 4am and hadn't come on by the time I went into town so I could actually work. Temperature in my house was 59ºF when I left.

If power doesn't return by dinnertime, I'm considering moving the family into town to stay in a hotel.

Yes, and in about 10 years they will probably suggest a regimen of non oxygenation cessation of respiration to completely eliminate CO2.

How does a voter in GA split their ticket? Especially in divisive times like these.

I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around that. That trouble once again leads question the integrity of the election.

Remember, not showing you're downhearted by recent developments robs the snotty Leftists of their churlish joy. Yes, hard times ahead, even if by some miracle Trump should prevail in his efforts. All the more reason to: Smile, Darn Ya, Smile.

As if they needed a "rationale" over and above their own desires.  But the "unrest," properly used (and it will be) will get the sheep behind them.

Antifa planned on infiltrating the march and doing this.

I know they were putting it up on their sites.

Whether it actually is.... well the election was the most secure every and covid lockdowns are necessary.

I have to wonder the very same thing.  This is so radically (no pun intended) different from any previous "right-wing rally" here that I can recall.  And how on earth were DC and Fed cops not prepared to stop them from breaching Capitol security?

My daughter is locked down in her office trying to keep the other staffers from panicking. If they don't get this shit under control she may end up spending the night. Which is probably better than her trying to get home through a crowd of insane, violent people.

Ugh.  My hopes for a peaceful and quick end to this.

And again... every previous right-wing protest has been peaceful, law-abiding rallygoers, some of whom then get ambused by BLM/Antifa thugs.

This seems such a abrupt and scaled-up departure from that model, I do have to ask the old "cui bono?" question.

I have a feeling some Democrat somewhere would have found a justification for this despite today's demonstrations. This was just the convenient one.

I saw the supposed hammer and sickle tattoo on Twitter. It's actually from a video game.

There may be some Antifa in there, but I think it's mostly the moron wing of MAGA. There seems to have been some coordination via Parler. IMO the vast majority of protesters went to DC to make a statement while several hundred of them wanted to stir some shit. They will be identified and prosecuted,  as they should be.

She's got the votes, and there are enough RINOs to make sure of it.

Next they will declare the Republican party illegal and begin arresting members. They said they're going to do it, why do you doubt?

The country is lost forever.

Whether it is or isn’t, rhetoric from Trump like this is not helping the situation one bit. It’s  exactly the incitement behind the mayhem like this. Bad move and timing on his part IMO.

If this woman can be linked to Antifa then we may have a clue if this was a false flag operation or not:

WASHINGTON — A woman died from injuries after she was shot inside the US Capitol Building as pro-Trump supporters tried to break into the House Chamber, according to the Associated Press.

It is not known yet what exactly led to the woman being shot, but a photo from CBS News' Zak Hudak shows law enforcement with guns drawn inside the House Chamber around 2:46 p.m.

Clipped from a comment at Insty:

Ok, so I am in DC and attended the rally and also went to the Capitol. The morning rally was a completely peaceful event with typical Americans, angry about the "steal", yes, but gathering peacefully to protest what happened. After the President finished speaking, we went to our hotel to warm up and eat some lunch. We saw on TV that there had been something going on at the Capitol, so we wanted to walk down there and see for ourselves. By the time we got there around 3:00 we saw no violence, no shoving, no threatening police. A LOT of people were standing around, occasionally chanting "We the People" or "Stop the Steal". Once the President asked people to peacefully go home, most people wandered away from the Capitol and started walking up Pennsylvania Avenue. What it feels like is a few people caused trouble. The tone of that was completely different from the tone of the friendly, normal Americans peacefully assembling. There was a rumor going around that the ones who broke into the Capitol were provocateurs. I have no information but that feels right to me based on what I saw.

Observations only.

The behavior of the woman is more ANTIFA than a typical Trump supporter.

The person assisting, as a medic is again typical of an ANTIFA action. They have "medics" handy expecting violence to occur.

It smells like ANTIFA agent provocateurs.
