Morning, campers. Are those grits in the picture above? Sure doesn't look like oatmeal or cream of wheat to me.

If they are, since grits are a Southern dish, that makes this a white supremacist blog, right?///////

Maybe by the new standards, but then, since everyone here voted for Trump, we're already considered white supremacist extremists, even though none of us supported the attack on the Capitol by a bunch of crazies who largely looked more like crazies at a leftist protest than Republicans and conservatives.

There seems to be a fair amount of rejoicing on the left that Biden removed Trump's executive order on training in federal workplaces on diversity.

That's definitely oatmeal. Probably quick oats rather then regular rolled oats.

Huh. Sure doesn't look like it to me, but then I don't make a habit of studying the texture and look of my oatmeal.

There's three basic types of oatmeal. Rapid, quick, and rolled. Rapid is used in instant oatmeal pouches and is practically milled. Rolled oats are just the flattened grain. Quick oats are in the middle. Boils down to the rolling process and all the other grades are sifted out from the regular rolled oats mostly I believe.

You are forgetting steel-cut oats, which are---as far as I'm concerned---the only edible oatmeal.  Much more granular, much less mushy, and much, much tastier.

Two of Biden's first acts were to destroy 42,000 jobs by nixing the Keystone pipeline and destroy for all time women's sports by mandating the boys in dresses be allowed to compete as "women."

I would like to think that the latter, which primarily hurts middle class girls hoping to get Title IX mandated athletic scholarships, might get all those soccer moms who voted for Dems to rethink their position, but I doubt it.  Rational thought is not their strong suit.

I make steel cut oats in the Instant Pot for breakfast 3 or 4 days a week. It's got a nice, chewy texture and slightly nutty flavor.

The Keystone pipline should have been up and running and untouchable a decade ago.  Safer, cleaner and more efficient than shipping oil by rail, but of course that very thing harmed Warren Buffet's rice bowl, and the Obama crowd delayed and delayed it.

BeetleBiden is off at a gallop.

Eventually only rich girls will have access to sports - the ones whose parents can pay for private figure skating or tennis lessons. Private soccer and softball leads might form, but again, $$$. Track and field events will be 100% male very soon. I doubt anyone noticed that black girls dominate track and field and it's a sport where the male/female gap is especially wide. And I'm sure no one has considered the research that shows participating in sports improves girls' future career performance. It really is all about erasing women.

Serious question - since many of these EOs are plainly unconstitutional, can they be challenged in court? Or do we have to wait until the GOP gets a majority in Congress?

RE: EOs.

Obama certainly legislated with EOs and the courts upheld them.

Trump attempted to roll back Obama EOs and political hacks like WA AG Sideshow Bob sued to stop Trump. And the courts decided EO's are permanent and can't be undone.

But now Biden is rolling back Trump EOs and that is just peachy keen.

EOs have just become another tool of tyranny.

Some are constitutional, others not.  In theory someone with standing could litigate the point.  But then it depends on the leanings of a particular court.  We damn well need a conservative majority (I'm no longer saying a "GOP" majority) in Congress to do anything that's guaranteed (more or less) to stick.

How long before the COVID vaccine is plentiful, and Biden takes credit for fixing the mess left by Trump?

I think after heard a news blip that Biden signed 10 covid related EOs.

How much you want to bet cases and death start dropping dramatically and Biden has fixed the covid crisis by late April early May.

All they have to do is go back to the pre-covid data analysis methodologies for flu, and presto cases and death will drop dramatic, below epidemic levels.

Daniel Henninger today was saying that in every case, the problem with getting vaccines out is government fuck-up.  The Dems keep thinking that more government is the solution when it's really the cause of the difficulty.  Hence whatever solution Biden's "team" comes up with, it will only complicate matters.  But the press and the left still won't get it.  Red states have been far better because they haven't decided to freight the process of vaccinating people with myriad social-engineering goals.

We've had to work with a lot of workers at home trying to help them understand their home networking and the issues they are running into. It has been a heavy slog for a lot of IT people.

What do you expect from a Carter Judge who is 80 years old.

Seattle judge says Amazon won't have to restore Parler web service

Nothing in AWS's ToS about that Parler violated. AWS made it up.

Now making up contract clauses for the purpose of silencing political opponents is judicial precedent.
