Quick quiz, just out of curiosity; which you y'all have met which RudeBridgers in real life?

For me, it's:  dopps, turn, revobob, Kenneth (those latter two being somewhat lapsed RudeBridgers)... and I think that's it.

Boy, that was a while ago. I've met OR, Lucius, PBJ, revo, Spenser, and several folks from the old place. The person who did turn's tumbleweed gif - I can only remember his real name at the moment. We met up a couple of times when he lived in DC before he moved to, IIRC, Ohio.

If by "the old place", you mean The Swamp... yeah, I met a bunch more people IRL back then (of course, I also had rather more freedom of movement, so to speak, at the time).  Including, but not limited to, at the legendary Reaganite's Retirement Party.

For those who may have missed Kosh’s posting of a Tablet article examining the potential origins of the Wuhan virus I’m linking again here. It’s a must read for those of who have suspected all along the virus was developed, or as this article explains modified for “gain of function”, by the CCP. The article details the ensuing coverup, by the WHO and other world agencies, on the origin and release of the virus. Although the article leans toward explaining an accidental release of the virus my contention is the release and timing was deliberate and coordinated to tip the US election towards Biden’s favor while dealing an unrecoverable blow to our economy. The virus was released to change the balance of world power in favor of China. Even if I’m wrong about the release being intentional the net effect is the same. Beware, China is rising.

It’s really hard to keep a positive attitude. My feelings exactly, and to be honest I think my mental health has suffered some as a result. I’m not kidding, it’s all been so depressing. And I ’m sure I’m not alone as a conservative in feeling this way. First the Covid pandemic then isolation from lockdowns and then the stress of a contested and lost election only to pile on recently what I’ve called here a Biden funk. A hard part for me through all of this has been trying to come to grips with the realization that there will be no return to our old life, the way things used to be. Not in the foreseeable four year future at any rate, and that’s being optimistic about a timeline! That being said (and sorry to unload when I said I’d try and avoid this) .. although it’s been a rough road for all of us, we may be down but we’re not out ... yet. We can try and hang in here together Alice :.)

We've all experienced a greater or lesser degree of Biden funk (which sounds like what happens when a kid leaves his gym shoes in his locker for a full semester). I tried not to get excited about the lawsuits -- by late November I knew the election was not going to be overturned and the fraud would not be fully exposed. Not watching the news helped a lot. I just try not to dwell on the Legions of Darkness working overtime to destroy our country.

Out here in Kalifornia the teachers have acted like petulant children by refusing to even consider returning to work unless, and not before, they are first given priority (over the elderly in many case) for Covid vaccination even though the “science” shows they are at very low risk. They can give a shit about science, education, or the well-being of their students ... indeed they are greedy and selfish. The uptick in student mental health issues and suicides due to their stubbornness to return to work is squarely on their shoulders (btw these issues are also being buried by the MSM).

The speakers said, rightly, there is much work to do in tracing the source. This is a vital quest to help guard against future — and potentially worse — pandemics. Yet these scientists were certain on one aspect of their investigation: this disease did not leak from one of the three laboratories in Wuhan studying bats and bat-borne coronaviruses. Never mind the extraordinary coincidence of an outbreak almost certainly connected to creatures living hundreds of miles away in the caves of southern China occurring in the city that was host to Asia’s top research centre into such viruses. The experts were adamant: there is no need for further inquiries into this concept since it is “extremely unlikely” to be the cause of this global catastrophe.
