I made crab Benedict this morning.  Very rich.  I suspect I'll pay for it later.

While taking our morning walk, Little OR thought up two names for children’s books. One is “cheetah in the backyard“; the other is “robot puppy“.

I finally understand the racism in having the large trash bags black and smaller ones white-

Society expects Blacks to put up with more trash.

Now, if I could write that in a couple of thousand words of "academic" jargon....

Been writing a program to keep track of the 78s and 45s I'm digitizing.

So far, it traverses a directory tree starting where I store them, and produces a data structure for each one with the relative path, filename, and some of the MP3 tags (artist, song, year, etc.

Now I need to export that data so I can search and review it on my phone while going through the records themselves, probably by exporting to Excel, since that is already on the phone, rather than writing an Android app to access it.

So now I have a Python script that has hardcoded where I store the digitized records, searches that path for mp3's, and writes a csv file that I can import into Excel with various MP3 tags (Artist, Title, Genre, Comments) and other info - path, filename, speed, etc.

I still have to adjust column widths and sort by title and artist (in that order), but it works.

Enough for now.

This is how I have fun.

So earlier today I stopped into a super Duper Uber woke local bookstore so little man could find a birthday present for his mom.  Just over the top Woke, with a “private“ reading section for elementary school kids, the whole 9 yards. One of the staff came over to ask us if she could help. I was tempted to ask, “so my son is not quite six years old; can you recommend any good books about guns for him?”

Auctioning off Neil Peart's car collection.  Some very nice rides.

I was just thinking about him about an hour ago, while listening to “Tom Sawyer“. Funny coincidence.

Might as well asked for the King James Bible.

They might have had Koran for Kids, though.
