Good morning. I have to admit--today, that view looks pretty good. I wouldn't mind sitting there without breakfast.

Thanks, buzz. I'll take a look later.

I got back from Florida last night. Aside from tripping on stairs in the dark and getting a cut near my left eyebrow, I had a great time. The drive back, however, was miserable because some clown knocked out a bridge on the interstate, causing a 90-minute, bumper to bumper detour. Between that and some heavy rain, a six-hour drive ended up taking 10 hours, including an hour for lunch.

Other than that, it was great, LOL.

Ugh! Those situations are just the worst. How awful to have to deal with that at the end of the vacation.

That sort of thing seems to be happening more and more.  Perhaps it's just my perception.

What's different about Cuban's?

DHS Secretary @AliMayorkas threatens fleeing Cuban refugees: "Allow me to be clear, if you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States … Again, I repeat, do not risk your life attempting to enter the United States illegally. You will not come to the United States."

We need commonsense infrastructure control.  ...Or is that "reform?"

They'll get citizenship and vote Republican.

So when do they get DHS to hand out voter registration cards to illegals coming in from Mexico?

And here I thought racial-"nationalism" was a bad thing.  Guess I'm just not "woke" enough to understand.

About Cuban's... what?

Mark Cuban owns a lot of stuff, you have to be more specific.

Speaking of which; prompted in part by my staircase-related misadventure from last October, I ordered this book recently (after seeing a link at Instapundit).  I haven't started it yet, but it looks potentially helpful to all of us who are reaching "a certain age".

Well, there you have it.  These Cubans aren't "fleeing persecution", rather, they are counter-revolutionary gusanos who need to be punished.

Does that clear things up?

And with their recent "the NFL Is gay" initiative, they're looking to convert tight ends into wide receivers.

Nah.... that can't be it.

Sec. Mayorkas is only worried about people fleeing persecution.....

He's just showing solidarity with those plural voters who Kamala Harris says can't get IDs.

Oh, wait...that was "rural"...

Now, that said, he apparently gave a similar message to Haitians; I am not familar with the Haitian expat communty's political leanings, but I have never heard they vote GOP.

Tyranny in the open

Press Briefing by Press Secretary Jen Psaki and Surgeon General Dr. Vivek H. Murthy, July 15, 2021

Second, that we have recommended — proposed that they create a robust enforcement strategy that bridges their properties and provides     transparency about the rules. So, about — I think this was a question asked before — there’s about 12 people who are producing 65     percent of anti-vaccine misinformation on social media platforms. All of them remain active on Facebook, despite some even being     banned on other platforms, including Facebook — ones that Facebook owns.

Third, it’s important to take faster action against harmful posts. As you all know, information travels quite quickly on social media     platforms; sometimes it’s not accurate. And Facebook needs to move more quickly to remove harmful, violative posts — posts that will be     within their policies for removal often remain up for days. That’s too long. The information spreads too quickly.

There is no exception when Gov't policy is carried out by a third party.

Hmm, an authoritarian government that works in concert with powerful corporate interests... hey, I think there's a name for that...

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 24:

U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen ruled that the DACA program was illegal because Congress never authorized it.

Even Obama said that before he implemented it.
