Morning just finished shoving the Squire out the door to catch the school bus. Relaxing and checking my blogs when I ran across this one.... Funny how the internet works. :)

Still alive, busy as hell at work and trying to find time for a new hobby. Hand tool woodworking and I have a lot of tools that need fixing currently.

I’m famous… -ish-y!

Good to hear from you,  This is Little OR’s first year with a school bus as well.

Somehow, I think there are a lot of (leftist) Jews who still think "It can't happen here" when it has already started.

A lot of them don't see the Democrat party as the "other" that would seek to harm them.

Good morning, everyone. Another 2 hours in bed would have done wonders for me.

No school bus for us -- one of the many ways the district punishes parents who opt for charter schools is by not providing transportation (even though in the case of special needs kids they are obligated to under federal law).

The only thing I miss about the bus was waiting for the younger kids with the lovely nannies and foreign au pair girls that the nouveau riche parents hire to care for their kids so mom can spend the day doing yoga, lunching with girlfriends, and posting on Facebook.  That is, when they're not entertaining their boyfriends.

And another step is taken towards China. Why would anyone think forced sterilization would be acceptable here?

Youngest Boy had a project for chemistry -- one of these "cereal box" things on a radioactive element.  He chose (mainly because of the name) Rutherfordium,  He did a great job -- listed the properties like the nutrition info, the half-life as the expiration date, and even had the elements from which Rutherfordium is synthesized as marshmallow treats in the mix.  On the back of the box was a maze based on the periodic table that took one through the synthetization process to the place of the element on the table.  Very inventive, but he was stumped with what to do about the bottom.  I suggested a coupon for iodide tablets. He liked that, and then came up with what to do for the price code.  He put in a qr code that, should she choose to actually scan it, with Rick Roll the teacher.

We are both curious to see if she'll try it.

There's one nanny I keep seeing -- older than the usual 22yo sort,  She's been with the same family for six years.  She's quite nice and every now and then I think I should ask her out for a beer, but the anti-vaxxer (all of which were pre Covid I should add) stickers on her car have been off-putting.

"Anne T. Vacksair" would make a good character name...

I've learned that people don't scan QR codes unless they are on a menu. I've got one set up on the son's wheelchair that has a link to his background and why he's in the chair, and he has to beg people to scan it. I wouldn't put your hopes too high.

Kosh, if you are seeing us; this site was available via my work computer over the weekend, and now is back on the naughty list. Just FYI.

Personally I don’t make a habit of just scanning random QR codes, because you never know where they might take you.

Oh, it is. I'm just sharing my experience with a QR code that I created, for which any iPhone will warn you what web page it is opening, and still people don't scan them.

Are the demonstrations against Arizona's Senator political theater, or are they merely Sinema?

Youngest boy turned in his project, and the teacher did, in fact, scan the qr code.  Much hilarity ensued.

Well this is definitely cool....

Previous job I did the circuit board for a projector. Company ran into trouble meeting deadlines on the project, had layoffs, and sold off the Intellectual Property for the projector.

The projector resurfaced and is available......

The circuit board has most certainly be revised since on worked on the early versions. But those working models.

So...Mister Doctor Periodontist wants nearly five grand to mess around with my teeth.  On the one hand, it's probably necessary...on the other hand, five grand is five grand.

Apparently Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp are back after a 6-7 hour outage.

The only reason I noticed was it got into the news.
