I was following twitter on this last night, (yeah I know). Theories were flying fast. My favorite was "it was the cops' fault". He was fleeing a robbery and the police were in pursuit. It wasn't his fault, it was theirs. I like how the media refers to Waukesha as a small town. It is adjacent to Milwaukee; you can't really tell when you leave one and go into the other. It's pretty much one of the "white" sides of Milwaukee; heavily Republican, home to Scott Walker. It's a large metropolitan area. If you were going to Waukesha for something you'd probably say you were going to Milwaukee.

I am hereby issuing my Progressive Skateboard Challenge to all interested "Progressives". We set up a video camera in a room. You sit in a chair. Then, I hit you on the head as many times as I want, as forcefully as I want, with a skateboard. You get to demonstrate for the camera (and later audience) how you just laugh that off, because it's no big deal, and certainly nothing that would warrant using a firearm in self-defense. Deal?

Reply to Alice in Dairyland in 19: He has a lengthy rap sheet, JUMPED BAIL at least once, and was let out on $1000 bail. I think at least in Massachusetts, if you jump bail, bail is revoked and you are locked up, but one article was unclear on whether he jumped bail for a case in progress or not.
