The sun is out, but it's still colder than Hillary's tit.  But everyone is bathed, dressed, fed, etc.

Same here. National Weather Service says 14 degrees. And I still have ice to chip in the driveway

Anti-domestic violence play canceled for 'violating' Islamic tradition

The mayor of the northern town Gat, canceled a play about violence against women in the Arab sector on the same day that a 26-year-old mother of three was seriously injured in a shooting in Lod, reportedly in connection to the divorce process she was in.

The show in question, called "Voices" ("Kolot"), documents a collection of stories and situations from the lives of women, girls, and youth in romantic relationships, describing the cycle of violence they experience, which culminate in murder.

The mayor, Khaled Jarrah, argued that the show essentially calls for a rebellion against the traditional family roles and violates Islamic law.

But the leftists still love Islam.

They had glowing words for the Seattle Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP.)

"In a community with no police, this farmer is feeding people & bringing them closer together," the tweet said with a link to the fundraiser. "Learn how you can support Marcus' mission within the CHOP"

So will Ben and Jerry's sell their ice cream in occupied Ukrainian territory?

Last Friday, February 4, the company said on Twitter: “You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war. We call on President Biden to de-escalate tensions and work for peace rather than prepare for war. Sending thousands more US troops to Europe in response to Russia’s threats against Ukraine only fans the flame of war.”

The latest statement condemns the US for having stood up for Ukraine.

They don't get that Ukraine isn't going to surrender to Russia. Either the world supports Ukraine or Russia will invade and there will be a war.

There's a Crimea River joke in here somewhere.

His flavor with fruit, honey, and spice, Peach, Bee, and Thyme didn't work, though.

Neither does my joke, but I'm leaving it.

I'd prefer 2 feet of snow to sleet and ice.

3 days dealing with the ice left behind, and I'm not done, and I had dreams that I had to shovel snow in the bedroom.

We've been getting an inch or two of snow every couple of days.  Kind of like a nuisance snow.  Have to clear it away thought or it will turn into ice.  Luckily, it's been the light and fluffy variety.  Husband can just fire up the dreaded leaf blower and blow it all away.  Much easier than having to shovel it.

Light snow is no problem. We've had snow+rain, which makes thick ice that takes a lot of work to remove.

And I'm old enough that the work is a problem. Take me days.

I'd rather 2 feet of snow the snowblower can handle to 1 inch of ice.
