Reply to JCM in 5: See the Frontier. I did very well on the coding test; had a phone screen, and have a 4 hour interview session (4 1 hour sessions in a row, with a break) for the week after my current contract ends. Couldn't take that much time out of a work day to do it sooner.

The 4 hour virtual interview had to be scheduled after I finish my current work, and most places understand and appreciate someone will finish work properly.

In #7 Occasional Reader said: Learn to code! BTW, that's the easy part. Data structures and algorithms are more important, and picking the right data structure is very important. (For example, in C++, I regularly use list, forward_list, vector, set, and map. Knowing their particular strengths and weaknesses is important, but I still go to cplusplus.com or cppreference.com a lot.
