Howdy.  Change of plans for the day, I don't go to the office, Little OR doesn't go to day camp, since he has a moderate fever (negative Covid test).  Parenthood, man.

Seattle's Mayor has PLAN!

To higher more cops!

He's holding a presser later.

This should be good.

SPD staffing is the lowest in 30 years.

I have a dryer I bought a few years ago that wanted me to pay a buck a month for notifying me when the laundry was done. I refused. This year, that feature was now available for free. I expect BMW will lose money on this venture.

Me, I want a toaster that tells me stuff.  Just... because.

My toaster tells me things all the time, which is why I keep it locked away.  It tells me bad things.  Very bad things.

Communists seem to think that if we follow their plans for farming, prices will drop so much that farmers won't be able to make a living. And this is written supporting this plan

We'll be lucky if there are enough bugs to eat. Sri Lanka is where they want us to go.

They point out obesity and hunger are approximately equal numbers. The WHO studies and other sources I've seen say there is more obesity.

This is a "study" which started with a conclusion, and generated the data sets to support that conclusion.

The conclusion is "global warming".

The reason for hunger in almost every case worldwide is a failed state. Not climate, not drought, nothing more than the lack of stability in a region to successfully run a complete crop cycle.

Their "plan" will result in nothing more than worldwide food shortages.

My father used to say, "Never buy anything that does not have a manual override."  Useful principle if one works, as he did, with nuclear reactors---and equally applicable to everyday life.

How many disasters in Sci Fi shows could be avoided with this one little trick?

I'd imagine most of them, though I'm not a big sci-fi watcher.

You mean like "Bodega Bay" where Hitchcock's "The Birds" took place?

Actually, I misspelled it; it's BO-guh-duh.  (Jill Biden pronunciation, in case you hadn't heard.)
