To many liberals, taking Covid seriously — more seriously, at times, than the scientific evidence justified — became an expression of identity and solidarity. As one progressive activist tweeted last year, “The inconvenience of having to wear a mask is more than worth it to have people not think I’m a conservative.”

I have, of late, seen many people wearing a mask on their arm, right around the elbow---so that it's handy should they want/need it, but so they're not wearing it all the time.  They really should put a party insignia on it, and wear it as an armband.

Yep.  Hmm, what sort of insignia could we suggest... something simple, but punchy.....

Heh. That doesn't bother me. It's people wanting to make sure they aren't mistaken for conservatives that bothers me. Better to give no signals at all and leave people wondering.
