happy Saturday. I’m doing a little overnight mini vacation in a hotel right here in DC with my son, going to museum and getting pizza. Nothing big but a nice little break.

I like what Volkswagen did when some protestors glued their hands to to floor.

Shut down power, locked the doors and left them there.

No food, water, or bathroom breaks. The police did take one away who had a medical issue, and then arrested the rest of them the next day.

As for those who block roads, I think they should be forced to pay for "carbon credits" for all the extra emissions the resutling traffic jam cost. 

BTW, the heir to the Getty Oil fortune is one big funder, They have some deep pockets that can be picked, in a legal manner. Also, all the people stuck should have a class action against the organization for their time and gas. If their deep pockets can't be drained, the protesters have to run bicycle-driven generators to produce enough electricity to meet the payments, and carbon credits for their CO2 emissions doing so.

Hey, Ms. Getty Oil, how about paying for  free installations of solar power and electric chargers for the poor? If you really are concerned, that will make more difference than these stunts.

In Boston, a few years ago, protesters chained themselves to large cement-filled barrels on the road. It would take a fairly large, heavy truck to consider those just speed bumps.
