Remember when Sarah Palin said that Obama's planned healthcare would create death panels and everyone in the media laughed at her and all the Democrats poo-pooed her? Well, they are there; they just have a different name. And the House Energy and Commerce Committee is going to be reviewing a proposal that gets rid of that. The proposal expands the current law that prevents such panels for Medicare and expands it to all federal programs. Sounds like a good start.

Oh, God, it’s “Black History Month”.

so here I am at the airport, with television screens, projecting gushing messages about Barack Obama and KJB.

Somehow, "Black History Month" never seems to foster specials about great historical figures like Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, County Basie, Ethel Waters, etc.

Nor do they ever mention Oscar Micheaux, the black Illinois farm boy who created the only black-owned film studio---during the height of the Jim Crow era.

Odd, that.

What racists decided to give them the shortest month?

Heck, I would love to see more details on such great historical figures. Whatever happened to all the glowing comments about George Washington Carver?

The whole "Black History Month" thing is intended to foster the idea that blacks were groaning under the whiplash until the Civil Rights Movement---and that even then, were it not for Lefto-Islamists like Stokeley Carmichael, the utterly anti-civil-rights Malcolm X, the Maoist Eldridge Cleaver, etc., they would still be doing so.

It is a pernicious fraud.

I know that's not true, but I wouldn't have been surprised if it were. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops can be embarrassingly woke at times, and love to kiss Democratic big government ass, no matter how many times it comes back to bite them. They were big supporters of ObamaCare, for instance, and then were shocked -- SHOCKED -- when ObamaCare turned around and deliberately discriminated against Catholics and targeted Catholic organizations for lawsuits and investigations.

A lot of the early black pioneers, the ones who scored historic "firsts" like first black congressman, first black senator, etc., were all Republicans. Even the apolitical ones were still teaching hard work and self-reliance rather than victimhood and handouts. Lord knows we can't teach the children about THEM.

Not to mention that the majority of them were Christian. How problematic is THAT?

Isn't it racist to have the shortest month "Black History month"?

true. I propose moving it to June instead. Then we can have Black History Month and pride month fight it out.
