Steak and eggs on a corn tortilla?  Is that what I'm looking at?

Yes. Plus some cheese, maybe rice? And something green.

Sotomayor question in oral arguments about student loan forgiveness case gives the game away; she (and Kagan) only care about getting the "correct" result, giving out "free" goodies to Dem voters; not about the Constitution or law.

So people are taking comments out of context again to generate hot takes that are pretty much wrong. This time, it affects Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.

I have repeatedy pushed back on this stupid talking point at Insty.  It really is depressing to see how this works.

As I've asked the people pushing this line:  Yes, according to Zelensky, if Russia invades a NATO country, then... NATO will be at war with Russia.  Raise your hand if you were surprised by this dazzling revelation.

It seems very intentional to inflate division and cause more strife. The bigger question is, is the intentional or are people really this incapable of quoting things correctly.

Very intentional.

I'm not a huge fan of us getting involved in Ukraine. Not a fan of Zelensky. Not all the criticism of Ukraine are wrong.

But here's the thing Zelekensy is absolutely right. We will be in war if we don't manage to stop Russia aggression.

Anyone remember 1939?

If Russia wins in Ukraine. The Baltic States are next, oh Putin will let things settle down, it won't be right away. But it will happen. Those Baltic ports have been important to Russia since Peter the Great.

The question then is. Those who are rabidly anti-Ukraine assistance, and intentional fan anti-Ukraine sentiments. Are they just anti-war? I know plenty of people who are purely anti-war, misguided but genuine. Or, and are the pro-Russia? Pro-socialism, they want to see Russia win? We have a long tradition of left being pro-Russia in this country.

And while I'm with you, the latter emphasized bit negates the former.

I can listen to non-crazy-sounding arguments that "all Putin wants is a buffer area, he'll stop there"; but I don't believe it.

And note that as much as Putin claims that he is attacking Nazis (and there are some in Ukraine), he is acting a lot like one.

Jukebox

Not that the jukebox is completely relevant, but I like it
