Clearly an assassination attempt on RFK, Jr.

Did this person have help from the government?

And this is the kind of thing that makes be more likely to believe the JFK assassination was part of what later became the deep state.

Or the crazies are attracted to the Kennedy's like moths to a light.

Won't rule out either scenario.

In RFK's case, we also have the Secret Service denying requested protection, something they generally do not do.

If this attempt does not make them give him protection, it lends further credence to the Dems wanting him out of the way so the puppeteers can keep running the show, maybe with different puppets.

Hard cases make bad law.

Indiana AG sues hospital system over privacy of Ohio girl, 10, who traveled for abortion

In engineering this is called a corner case, when multiple parameters converage can cause a issue. By themselves each parameter isn't an issue. They are extremely difficult to troubleshoot, quantify and root cause.

These officers made crass and inappropriate jokes recorded by body camera.

The video got leak and people.... upset.

Community rallies for justice, accountability after controversial comments on grad student's fatal encounter with SPD officer

I spent 20 years as a firefighter EMT, so my sense of humor is warped. I made jokes and laughed at many inappropriate times. We always made sure we didn't have an audience. I've put the burned corpses of children in body bags, crawled into crushed cars to comfort trapped victims while we tried to extricate them and had them die. I've had to tell mothers their baby is dead.

Crass, gallows humor is a defense mechanism. I'm not willing to say the cops were wrong. They should have made sure it wasn't recorded.

What pisses me off about this using any excuse to bash cops.

First the crowd wants the cops to be sensitive, but they have no reciprocal notion of any sensitivity toward first responsers.

100% agree on that.

I had not picked up RFK being denied a detail.

And he asks again for USSS protection.

If I were him, I wouldn’t trust the protection Biden’s US Treasury Dept. would provide.

I would not be surprised if the would-be assassin was FROM the IMF branch of the Secret Service.

So McDonald's franchise owners are upset at the California law that raises minimum wage for fast food workers to $20/hr from $15.

No shit.

6% profit is good for a franchise. Labor is 1/3 of expenses (the other 94%)

Rough order of magnitude calculations:

1/3 of 94% is 31%. Raise labor costs by 33% and you have added 10% of revenue to expenses, for now a 4% loss.

Need to jack up prices by around 10% or more to make up the loss, and that means less business.

Fast food jobs were NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ENOUGH TO SUPPORT PEOPLE, but part-time extra income. But we outsourced the good-paying manufacturing jobs to China.

And let's add the UAW is upset the CEO of Ford makes $2 million.

There are around 57,000 UAW employees at Ford. If the CEO gave up his entire salary, that would give each UAW worker $35.

I'm sure that would end the strike//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

If I were the CEO of Ford, I'd tell the UAW if you are so upset at my $2 million salary, I will give it up for a few years, if you take the current offer PLUS the $35/year share of my salary. And I will send this to the rank and file to show how little my salary actually matters. Also, we could move production to Mexico and save a lot on top of the 40% raise we wouldn't have to give you.

You tell your union leaders what you prefer.

In my entire career, I generally got 2.5% raises. And I wouldn't buy a crappy Ford, either.

I buy Honda or Toyota because the dealer discounts depend on the customer dealer ratings. Screw customers, lose a lot of money.

Back in the 1970's a Ford dealership was notorious for valet parking cars of those looking for a new car, and refusing to return the car unless the customer bought a new car. Ford did nothing because they sold so many cars.

Remember, this was before cell phones where you could easily call the police "I'd like to report a car theft"

But the police probably would have gotten paid off to do nothing.
