Oh, I disagree slightly--it's not that it doesn't matter, it's that it is what these people want. They want Israel to fail and Hamas to win. Why? Sarah Hoyt explained it beautifully yesterday. Her article is long and goes into many things besides the Israel-Hamas issue, but I believe she nails the left's argument about Israel on the head.

So...given that Hamas has been declared a terrorist organization by the US back in 1997 and, to my knowledge, has not rescinded that designation, and given her close ties to people in Hamas, would it not be accurate--using LLLeftist logic, of course--that we call Tlaib a terrorist?

Just a reminder:

The "decolonization" rhetoric currently flying around is hilarious; Israel is the least "colonial" nation in the entire Middle East.

Egypt? Former British colony. Jordan? Ditto---established by the colonial British as a consolation prize after it screwed the Hashemites out of their Arabian kingdom to accommodate the "House of Saud" brigand clan. Lebanon? Syria? French colonies, post-WWI. Yemen? Aden? British colonies that were granted independence after Israel was established.

Israel was created by land purchases from Muslim landowners, and achieved its indepenence by fighting both their British colonial overlords and the Arabs that tried to crush it.

I think it is time for the Democratic Socialists to split from the Democrat party and form their own. They can show their multiculturalism by culturally appropriating an ancient Hindu symbol also appropriated by another party with "Socialist" in its name.
