There has been some buzz about the Hamas perpetrators of the October 7 massacre, and the Hamas fighters killed/captured subsequently, being hopped up on a drug called "Captagon," apparently some amphetamine variation, also called "the poor man's cocaine."

Many people are not aware that the English word "assassin" is derived from "hashishiyoun," an Arabic term for "the hashish eaters," which was used to describe the Crusader-era equivalent of today's jihadis and suicide bombers.  There were, of course, no bombs during the era of the Crusader Kingdom in the land of Israel, gunpowder not yet having been discovered, but the "hashishiyoun" were drugged-up jihadi killers working under the direction of Hassan-i Sabbah, "The Old Man of the Mountain," who kept a stable of young men whom he provided with drugs and women in a "paradise" fortress, and whom he sent out on murder missions telling them that if they returned having been successful in their missions they would be re-admitted to "paradise," and that they would also attain paradise if they were killed in performance of their mission.

Most articles discussing the Captagon drug use of Hamas killers reference the Nazis, which is apt since Hamas is modeled after the Nazis, and since the WWII German soldiers were also given amphetamines---but the tradition of drugged-up jihadi killers goes much farther back in history.

The article I read this past week blamed the Nazis for using performance-enhancing drugs on the Americans using such drugs in 1936. I have no idea if that is true, but part of me suspects a desire to blame the US for the whole shebang.

I've no idea what that refers to.  1936?  How would Nazis "use performance-enhancing drugs on Americans in 1936?"  The war didn't break out until 1939, and Americans did not enter the war until 1941.  What the hell is this talking about?

PJMedia had the article about Hamas using captagon. Let me quote the relevant paragraph: 

Hitler popularized the use of methamphetamines in battle, which helped him pull off his quick and unrelenting Blitzkrieg, according to World War II historians. Indeed, we’re told that Hitler got the idea from watching Americans taking performance-enhancing drugs during the 1936 Olympics, and his chemist got to work replicating the drug.

That last link goes to this Time magazine article, where it has this: 

The German chemist Friedrich Hauschild had been aware of the American amphetamine Benzedrine ever since the drug has been used as a doping product in the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936. The following year he managed to synthesize methamphetamine, a close cousin of amphetamine, while working for Temmler-Werke, a Berlin-based pharmaceutical company. 

Given Time's penchant in the past for not getting facts down correctly, I'm gun-shy at taking Time at its word. But the subtle jab is that America is at fault for the Germans using drugs in war, and PJMedia connected Hamas' use of that drug back to Nazis, rather than tracing the implications back to older history.

Call the filthy Jew-haters what they are; Jew-haters.  They are mostly (not entirely) Leftists, and the thing the Left cannot stand is being called out as "haters."
