Happy New Year, everyone. May this year be far more blessed than last year.

There a whole host of new laws coming into affect starting today, and this TownHall article has a few of the standard leftist fare.

But the changes in Illinois are more serious:

Illinois will be required to rent or sell property or residences to non-citizens and illegal migrants beginning on Jan. 1. On top of the new law, Illegal aliens will also be allowed to obtain a driver’s license.

Because the state needs even more Democrat voters, doncha know. I expect more and more states to follow this process, because it has worked so well in California to ensure that every driver becomes a Motor Voter votes for the Dems.

So the Supreme Court is debating Missouri vs. Biden, the case determining whether the federal government has the right to dictate what speech is allowed via social media companies. (I'm sure that's a horrible summary, but that's not the point of this post.)

Jonathan Turley has posted the list of states who have filed friend of the court briefs who agree that the feds have the right to limit the first amendment, and the list is not that surprising:

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • District Of Columbia
  • Hawai‘i
  • Illinois
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • Nevada
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • Oregon
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • Vermont
  • Washington
  • Wisconsin

I think this may be one of my biggest prayers this year--that the Supreme Court rules that the government has no right to restrict any speech like this and it is a 9-0 ruling.

I honor of Tommy Smother passing away, here's a bit from the Tonight Show that is quite good.

Dang. Now I'm wondering how much this is connected to the breakthrough in Iceland, which my husband and I have been following.

It will all be blamed on global warming in 3.2.1

So far a  crappy new year. Had some computer problems  yesterday;  spread to 3 Windows systems.   VERY slow. Despite McAfee and Malwarebytes. Now  using my Linux machine.

Could not even  open McAfee. Working with  them  on one computer; reinstalling McAfee on another

Tech cannot make remote connection - but my Linux system is just fine

As I believe Johnny Carson once said:

“You know it was a good party when you awake the next morning in a motel room in New Jersey next to a Barbie doll.”

This sounds like material for a Magnificent Seven reboot:

That's the flaw in a reign of terror. When people stop being afraid.

Wondering if someone did screw up my Microsoft account. Changed the password, and every system  rebooted after  that is working somewhat normally.
