Horrible indeed. Good morning, despite the news.

Borrowing from Instapundit, a post from December 13 that is still relevant:

“If you, like me, think that the January 6th defendants have often been overcharged for merely entering the Capitol building, then you should be watching this case. The Supreme Court has just granted cert to an appeal by Joseph Fischer, who was charged with obstructing an official proceeding of Congress and thus faces a severe sentence. The charges are based on a law passed in the early aughts (2002). Those charges are based solely on his trespass and not on any violence or destruction.”

The number of January 6 defendants still rotting in prison just saddens me and longs for the day when we were not a banana republic.

And in today's episode of "insane arguments", we have this

If you thought Marxist-derived CRT was only related to the behavior, attitudes, and actions of white people against people of color, you were sorely mistaken. Turns out, the interiors of the homes of white people are likely "racist" as well. The solution? "Decolonization" of interior spaces. No, really. ...

Here's architecture author Aaron Betsky, who's written more than 20 books on the subject and believes architecture should be taught through the lens of CRT:

We cannot turn away from the fact that many of the structures we hold up as examples, like Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, were instruments of oppression, rape, and forced labor, and that even what we think of as neutral models, in whatever style, were ... built [as] affirmation of wealth built on violence.

These people are so cringeworthy. They are so desperate to be seen as intelligent, despite having no brain cells whatsoever.

Make one wonder if anyone at DoJ could pass a simple Constitutional quiz.

Constitution in Article 1, Section 9, Clause 3

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

Oh, I'm expecting someone to file something in the UN about it.

While I'm appalled at the treatment of the Jan. 6 defendants, I'm not seeing how that particular aspect applies here.

My bad... I read the law passed in August 2022 not August 2002.

So I'm in the office for the first time since Dec. 22; a lot of people are still out for holidays, but from a brief survey of those who are here, an extraordinary number seem to have had difficult or stressful holiday "breaks', for one reason or another (medical issues, mostly, either their own or family).

Well, color me....completely unsurprised. Except at who submitted the case. I have a feeling there are a lot of deep political machinations going on behind the scenes.

That sucks. Maybe getting back into the office was less stressful than being at home.

Clearly hounded out of office by patriarchal, racist, Jewish cabal!

Everyone keeps yammering about the manifest evils of TikTok.

Why has nobody come up with an alternative site, known as TiktOff?
