My weekend moratorium on news didn't work out so well this weekend. Glad to see you guys covered it.

Oh, sure, NOW they support Israel.....

Many Democrats who were critical of Israel and even pressuring the country to agree to a cease-fire with Gaza are now saying they support Israel after Iran's major attack, leading to questions about how long their support for Israel will last.

To my way of thinking, the idea that Biden would approve the launch of an assault on Israel, a supposed ally, would be grounds for impeachment and termination of office. Kudos to Kosh for finding that this weekend.

I assume that everyone is ignoring this story in the media because it looks bad for Biden.

Compare Biden's actions on Saturday to what he said (or his handlers) via Twitter back in June of 2019, before the 2020 election.

The pizza delivery index was very high at the Pentagon this weekend. They seem concerned about what Biden supported against Israel.

Rep. Jim Jordan went on Fox Business and told Maria Bartiromo that another informant is ready to dish on Fani Willis

"Now the Justice Department [is] reportedly finding inconsistencies in Fulton County D.A.Fani Willis' use of federal grant money," Bartiromo explained. "Willis fired the whistleblower who warned the D.A.'s office was attempting to misuse $488,000."

"This was a federal grant," she continued. "She wanted to use it to pay for computers and travel. I don't know if she was traveling with her boyfriend or not, but the D.O.J. told the Washington Free Beacon the grant is plagued with reporting discrepancies, Mr. Chairman."

"God bless the whistleblower who came forward," Jordan replied. "We've talked with the whistleblower. She's given information to the press, to us. Now the Department of Justice is looking into this."

Forgot to add an important piece. Note what the Justice Department said in response:

The spokesperson noted, "We have noticed some inconsistencies in what Fulton County has reported to [the Federal Subaward Reporting System] and we are working with them to update their reporting accordingly."

That sounds like they are going to let them update their report and then face no investigation at all.

On the plus side: Iran's attack on Israel was a spectacularly high-visibility flop.   It was truly humiliating, on the military-technical side.  Also, there's now at least a temporary reprieve from the bash-Israel momentum in the 'international community".

On the minus side:  It's also crystal clear that Israel will not be "allowed" to do what any other country in the world would be "allowed" to do under these circumstances; strike back.

Until Israel gives a single dirty look to a single Iranian.  Then will begin the cries of "genocide!!!!!".

Next question?

Patriot's Day

Commermorates the Battle of Lexington and Concord, part of which took place at the North Bridge, the "Rude bridge that arched the flood" as the poem goes.

I suggest Israel bomb the drone factories 'to help Ukraine'.

Well, I have a feeling from now on that WE won't be allowed to strike back, either, because Disproportionate Force, or some such nonsense. (Which is how I thought you won wars, but apparently that's gauche now.)

Example, from Instapundit:

“ANTI-WAR” ACTIVISTS FOR WAR: Jewish Insider: In Chicago on Saturday, 300 anti-war activists were meeting to discuss plans to disrupt the Democratic National Convention in August when an activist took to the stage to announce that Iran had attacked Israel. The crowd burst into cheers at the news, The Free Press reported.

I am skeptical about the claim being made that the whole Iranian attack was "orchestrated" with the green light of the White House, Israel, etc. etc. so that Iranians could should the ummah they were "doing something" without actually causing much damage; if for no other reason than that the Iranians would not have agreed to it.  This was a humiliation for them.

(For that matter, I don't think Israel would have agreed to it, either.)

I'm thinking it's more incompetent bungling. When it comes to communicating with foreign nations we don't send clear unambiguous message that can be clearly understood by the recipient.

My favorite was during the Green Revolution was Obama saying , "we support legitimate elections" which the Mad Mullahs heard as an endorsement.

And from Obama, it was an endorsement of their fake election. Well, the Iranian people could vote for different candidates, but all had to be approved by the Grand Ayatollah.

It is the same for the Dems here - a "legitimate" election is one where only their approved candidates win. Any other candidates that have a chance of winning are "a threat to democracy".

IIRC, it was even worse than that; Obama said something like, "I know the Grand Ayatollah is concerned with having legitimate elections".
