Of course, plus the administrations are so woke their brains have fallen out. Some article said that the 60's radicals have taken over the universities.

Even where I work now has a diversity office and events (virtual events). - and we have Air Force guards nearby.

A book I'm reading (loftus and Aarons, The Secret War Against the Jews (How western espionage betrayed the Jewish people) states that in 1948, the intelligence agencies did not want Truman re-elected; they considered him an idiot.

And I note the polls all had Dewey winning.

Similarly, in 2016, the Deep State didn't want Trump to win, and the polls all had Hillary winning.

Coincidence? Or are the polls being manipulated for the Deep State, thinking that people will vote for a winner?

Truman was certainly an uninspiring speaker.  He was considered "the Senator from Pendergast" for the early part of his career, i.e., a corrupt machine puppet*.  He redeemed himself early in the war by heading some war board investigation into waste and corruption, though he caused a bit of a scandal by being one of the few who attended Pendergast's funeral after Pendergast and his machine were broken.

*Cultural note: the Senator played by Claude Rains in "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" looks like, and is modeled on, Truman, as Edward Arnold's political-boss character is modeled on Pendergast, and the "Willett Creek dam" is an allusion to the Pendergast machine paving over some springs, or ponds, or something of the sort, to build the now-famous Kansas City shopping center.
