Reichert would be a vast improvement over the governors we've had over the last 30 years.

Reichert was an outstanding cop and King County Sheriff. He was an early investigator in the Green River Serial killer case, and the killer was caught on his watch as Sheriff. He was instrumental in developing many of the forensic techniques used in body dump cases today. It was minute paint flecks that caught the killer. The found the paint flecks on the victims and tracked it a unique paint used by Kenworth Trucks. The killer was a painter at Kenworth.

As a congress critter he was mediocre, and rinoish.

That said he'd has positive name recognition in WA, and would be an improvement in the office.

Reichert would be an improvement. 

Seattle is a deep blue vote sink for the state. It would be a tough race, especially with the way that “lost” votes have such a strange way of showing up in the middle of the final vote counts.

He's got a better shot than most. He's got positive name recognition state wide, he has the respect of a lot of people. The (D)s will take all the cheap shots, but IMAO that will back fire.

The question is will the vote margin outside the Olympia to Bellingham I-5 corridor be more than King Co. can manufacture.
