Double down on stupid.

'Seattle is changing': Mayor Durkan unveils 2020 budget proposal

“That’s why our budget will provide free college, free transit, and pathways to amazing jobs,” Durkan said to cheers to her predominately high school     student audience.

As we well know, anything labeled as "free" isn't valued at all. So the transit system will continue to deteriorate and the students to be completely apathetic about their studies.

Morning, campers. Down to the wire at work.

The wire is behind me. So I can relax.

Current task is to fix a prototype design. However it's such a mess it is taking far longer than scheduled.

The previous engineer didn't know how to use the tool, and wasn't well versed in circuit board design.

(From last night’s Pub Thread)

In #9 turn said: It's interesting not once did you mention something …. about … what was it hmmmm truck haul load weight … hmmm …. Utility?

I did not ask that question.  I made assumptions. I will ask the question.

these are utility step-vans, all former government owned vehicles at airports and for the postal service. All have rear duel wheels.

I need to be able to transport loads that are up to or close to 70 inches wide, usually but always on wheels. The wheel wells are a potential issue but I can build a ramp set up for the inside of the truck that can deal with that problem.

as for load weight, most things I will be moving will be less than 2000 lbs, but I would like to be able to move at least loads of 2500lbs.

one of the vehicles I am looking at today has a 1600 lbs lift gate, which is a temptation, but it is also a potential problem in that it is another thing that could break down.

How does a State have standing to Sue the federal government over how the federal government spends money on federal property?

Kosh, I tried to post that link by opening the link dialogue box on the comment tool bar.

I was able to post the link into the dialogue box, but the post button on the dialogue box was inactive and I was not able to get it to post the link.

I can paste the link directly into the comment box and the link posts as live link, but does not give me a means to set it to open in a new window.

Jus' Sideshow Bob fund raising for his run for Governor.

He doesn't give a damn about how the money is used. Just an excuse to sue Trump and get media exposure.

He's a dangerous bastard, he's smart and calculating, and very ideological. Reminds me of  Pasha Antipov "Strelnikov".

That young lady needs a whupping, sent to be without her supper and to be grounded for 6 months.

And the people using her, charged with child trafficking.

It was such an ingenious and disgusting display.

So my son's favourite band released a new album a week ago. In a few days he taught himself one of the softer ballads on the album and played it for his girlfriend after dinner Friday evening and I nearly died of the unbearable cuteness of young love.

I have few questions for young Ms. Brat.

What was the temperature and CO2 levels 1000 years ago?

What was the temperature and CO2 levels 2000 years ago?

In the Vostok Ice Cores what is the relationship of temperature and CO2?

How does our current temperature compare to the average of the last 10,000 years?

What is the correct temperature for the planet?

Breaking: Justin Trudeau hasn't appeared in blackface this week!

But he did send the RCMP to detain a reporter for asking too many awkward questions. Such is the state of our democracy.

That's the question I like to ask. It generally shuts down the conversation without being antagonistic.

I remember some years back, Al Gore bloviating, "if your baby had a fever, you'd take it to the doctor!".  Yes, because I know my baby's normal temperature.

All negotiations with foreign countries are transactional by definition.

if a US citizen/resident/whatever does something that is illegal in a foreign country, is it illegal for a US President to ask that foreign country to look into it?

what crime are the Democrats alleging was broken?

...and no truck purchase yet. Maybe tomorrow.

The mechanic confirmed our suspicions about the rear end of the 1993 truck. The rear end needs work. We don’t know how much, but the mystery noise is coming out of the rear axle and the mechanic suggested I keep looking or plan to use the truck very lightly.. So I t is not entirely off the list, though it has gone way down.
