Quiet around here.  Too quiet.

That's one of my alerts as I half pay attention to the sounds from Little OR's room, while I'm trying to work.

Big, bold-type banner headline on front page of today's print NY Times (which I saw at Starbucks, I hasten to add, not that I subscribe to that rag):

BIDEN VOWS TO GUIDE U.S. OUT OF "DARKNESS"

Because a rote, rehearsed stump speech deserves an ginormous banner headline, of course.

There's no such thing as "media bias", you right-wing loons!

Perhaps Biden didn’t drool and mumble but I sure did over what I heard promised, a socialist paradise with nothing but increased taxes and a clamp down on individual rights. I don’t see a bright future in his plans, quite the opposite unfortunately.

Indeed there is, well in everything as viewed through the left’s eyes these days.

Hi I’m doing ok but have been concerned about our future and the outcome of this election. Been thinking about everybody and have talked to Revo on rare occasion. There is so much to get caught up on and typing on an iPhone doesn’t help with this. I wish you all the best.

The fires in Vacaville have blanketed the  local part of the Central valley with thick smoke so we’ve been dealing with that miserable thing here lately. Dogs are not liking this either. A friend of my brother’s lost his entire ranch and home in one of the many local fires, he made it out alive thank god. I’m safe from fires where I’m at fortunately.

My two boys are doing really well, one is a partner in Towerpoint Financial and the other a lease negotiator for PG&E, both climbing the ladder and I’m very proud of them both (naturally)

As LS said things are quiet here, I’ll just check back periodically and wish you all the best in these trying times. I remembered my password this time so no more excuses for not visiting more often turn.

Actually, Picaridin seems a bit better.

From yesterday's Morning News.  Picaridin is a whole lot better.  Tried it for the first time on this past week's camping trip.  The major difference was it lasts a lot longer, you don't have to keep reapplying every couple of hours.

Now to get caught up on the rest of the stuff that I missed this past week.

Oh yeah, the Biden signs have doubled between here and the North.  In the two hour drive north I saw four (4) Biden signs.  Many, many more Trump signs added.  So many I lost count!

Hi there, we’ve never met. It’s great to see a new face here, I’ve been away from the blog for quite some time. Maybe we can get acquainted as time goes by. I need to get reacquainted with everyone else again it seems, it’s been that long.

Reply to turn in 20: I'm afraid I have you at a disadvantage as I have followed this dwindling group back as far as SOB.  I was glad to have found you all on CC2 and now here.  I look forward to getting to know you better though, at least now I can comment back if/when I have something to say.

Hey it's turn!

Been busy working on projects for the wife. Current project is a tire shed so we can get more space in the storage shed. Making it from used pallets so it's a bit of a work out. Also have some old steel from a barn roof for part of the sides. Using pallets from work that were used to transport potted plants so have the basic framework to build on.

Ah you do have me at a disadvantage then and you must know something of me however unimpressed or unimportant (laughs) So glad to finally chat if that is what we call it. :.)

P2! You are busy as ever, good to know ... and we all know you can never have enough space! That’s a neat project and a great use of recycled materials my friend. You take care and build it right (turn has no doubt he will)

I am trying. Have the base deck down and a back wall mostly done. Need some 2x4's for interior support currently. Which probably means another run for pallets.
